Going to vegas may 26 and gonna be there for awile.
Last year i mostly played at venetian (2/5 with a 10 dollar straddle almost everytime) which was amazing. I played at Rio a bit but dealers + rake killed some of the action for me...
Any p5ers gonna be there this year playing the lower stakes (2/5 and 5/10) plo games?
Be cool to meetup and have a drink or 8 -

i play the actual low stakes (1/2 at venetian) so 2/5 is outta of my league, but i would love the chance to hang out with better players if i do make it out.

the 1/2 game is pretty good as well. while the action at rio may be a little better, the dealers there were awful last year. plus the time rake was a bitch AND they charged for red bull

i got my red bull free at the rio, I was playing an event, not sure if that matters. I was getting 2 at a time and tipping her 1 dollar and stuffing them in my backpack for the pre-club drinks.....i am cheap when I can beOriginally Posted by danimsta

played the 1/2 in the rio's poker room (not in the wsop stuff) the last night we were there. awesome game, it turned into 1/2 with 25 ante after i left.

I have never played PLO live but I will be staying at the Venetian in late June so I might give it a try. What is the competition like in that game? I assume there are less fish at the PLO tables than there are at the NL tables. Is that true? What do you buy-in for? $500? What type of roll to you set aside for the $2/5 PLO game? Is it running 24/7?

seems like a there was usually 3 or 4 competent players at the table, maybe one really decent one, and a bunch of gamblers. im not sure if it was 24/7 but i was there during deepstack and it was going every time i went. nice thing is it was out of main room each time too and it just had a cozier feel. not sure if they always run omaha games in back. also, free fiji agua is nice. 1/2 plays similar to .25/.50 online.Originally Posted by FourFives

So if I am successful at .25/.50 online, I should do alright? I figured the drunk tourist types would only play NLHE becuse that is what they play in their homes games and see on TV. I thought the PLO would have more regs in it and people who know a bit a about the game.Originally Posted by Appst08

if u are successfull at any type of plo online, u will do good at 1/2 and 2/5 plo live lol
yes, there are some decent players, but for the most part its pretty bad
and believer, remembe last time we got into a pot together? danimsta pwned obv.
and i never got free red bull at rio. venetian is better anyway in terms of room, dealers, food, etc etc
and the action is amazing
ill be in vegas may 26 and be playing for a bit...but my gf will be there for memorial day weekend but after that ill be there everyday pretty much. -

500 is a good buy in, i usually buy in for 1k becuase i like to be a bit deeper, but it really matters what stacks are and whos playing etc.Originally Posted by FourFives

and when i was there last year, it was running pretty much 24/7 at rio and venetian
Also, if ur a p5er and recognize me and playing with me, please let me know before i try and bluff my stack to u

Last year during WSOP, went to the MGM to see the Lions.
Overheard the poker room calling a new 1-2 PLO game. Jumped in. 2 hours later there was over 12k on the table. Real nice game.

might have to check out mgm as well then lol
i remember back in my low limit nl days, mgm was THE place to play, i sucked at nl, but somehow everyone else at the table sucked even more
