A raise with pocket Aces pre-flop and 4 others call in low limit online play. Another ace comes up on the flop with a 10 and 4, all of which are differnt suits. I raise again and everyone folds. I miss out out on a potentially bigger pot and piss myself off.
How should I have played this? What if a K or something fairly high comes up on the turn? -
I actually liked the way you played it. With 4 callers, the pot is worth picking up, and more importantly, you will generally get some action. My hunch is that if you check, so will everyone else, and then you've just given a free card, but probably aren't going to win much, if any more money. gl

stack sizes? tournament or cash games? level in tournament? blinds? reads? c'mon

Against one or two opponents I might check an AT4 rainbow flop sometimes, and sometimes I'll bet between 1/3 and 1/2 the pot. It depends greatly on the limits/stack sizes/opponents/etc.
Against four opponents I'll always bet, probably 1/3 to 1/2 pot. With that many people in the hand, the pot should be pretty sizable already and I'd be happy winning it. If someone has a T or the case A they're probably calling your bet. More importantly though, there's a very good chance that at least one of your opponents has two unpaired face cards (KQ, KJ, or QJ). You don't want to give them a free gutshot.
Edit: Mayor also brings up a good point. Betting here with the nuts will make your c-bets more successful since your opponents will see you bet your monsters. -
never slow play sets bet 1/2 to full pot the donks will call no matter what

You cant stack people every time you have a hand.
Sometimes flopping top set with pocket aces is a curse because obv everyone is going to put you on AK or at least Ax, and theres only on eother ace in the deck so odds are no one has hit it.
If the flop is rainbow and no obvious draws its ok to give a freecard SOMETIMES but if you always check your monsters people are going to start reraising you every time you c-bet with nothing. -
A lot of the input here is right-on, although with a flop like this, it is often O.K. to check, maybe a bet/fold/fold scenario and you are now Head-up with one other opponent and you have the nuts. In a spot like this, you must then put him on a hand (It would be a beautiful think if he had the case Ace as he would almost be drawing dead here, or at least to two perfect). Sometimes you have to check the nuts with the ideal flop you're looking for with AA in order to let your opponent(s) catch up. Also, like these guys said before my post, there is nothing wrong with a bet with so many people in the hand, as often times you have a loose player in the hand possibly along the lines of K10 that doesn't want to make you for an Ace and will come along. Goodluck
