  1. So why does it seem, I lose every tournament with my Kings running up against Aces.

17 people left out of 2300 in a rebuy on Poker stars

    I am 3rd in chips . . . in small blind . . . Look down at pocket Kings.

Just moved to two tables . . . so no clue about most of the players at it.

UTG raises 4x blind (only player with more chips than me at table) Really every hand is getting raised 4x blind at this stage, but can I really put him on the one hand that beats me?

So everyone folds to me . . . I push ALL IN . . . I figure I will win it right there if he has anything other than aces. Or maybe he will call with AK or Queens.

UTG insta-calls and turns over his ACES.

Nothing comes, I lose - Out of tourney with a small prize, instead of making the real money at the Final Table.

Is there any possible way, I fold Kings or don't re-raise to him ALL IN? Is there some merit in avoiding all hands until reaching the final table so I can grind out a higher prize? Is this more responsible chip management?

Blinds are $15,000, $30,000 so his raise was to $120,000. I had over a million chips, but if I make it $250,000 preflop instead of all in, I can't think that I would fold my kings if he re-re-raised me ALL IN.

No Ace on the flop, so with my position I think I would have put out a very big or ALL IN raise on the flop into him.

IS this just one of those hands where you either have a massive chip lead for the FT or get knocked out with 5% of what you could have won???

  2. just unlucky. had KK with 3600 behind in ftops1 from sb. ep makes it 2.75*BB (550), i think I have 3 options
    1) call, no optimal considering my below average stack
    2) reraise to 1800-2000, essentially committing myself and showing strength
    3) PUSH, prob the best play, villian will put me on a wide range of hands..

Like you, i elected to push and saw the instacall AA, no help and gg me..
I don't really regret my play as only 1 or 2 hands gives me much scare at all..
