Naw i havent met him but apparently he goes to live events sometimes so everyone needs to know who he is and the sht hes done, you cant just do that to people its so fked up the things people do.

fwiw i am not defending him at all and from ur account COMPLETELY agree that he owes u the 5k...i also understand THAT IS COMPLETELY within ur right as a backer to drop him at any point...that being said i can understand where he is coming from to feel fucked over that he hit a big score then u proceeded to drop him even though that was ur plan all along....generally when ur backed you would think poor play would get u to be dropped and obv. he must not have been playing to ur standards to get into makeup in the first place....but taht being said i guess it could have helped the whole scenario if u told him u planned to drop him once he cleared his makeup (although once again i understand this IS NOT neccessary and as a backer u can drop him at any time u choose since hes playing on ur money in the first place and thats just how backing works)

im saying all thsi becuase while i agree he owes u the 5k, i dont think it sounds as if hes a scammer (and it doesn't sound as if hes going to roll people in future deals) as much as he is holding ur money hostage as feeling wrongfully dropped immed. after hitting a big score)

Not only is it not the backers responsibility to tell the player when he plans on dropping him, but it could and most likely would negatively effect a players confidence and drive to win money, because nobody wants to win money for somebody who is going to subsequently drop them immediately if they were to succeed.

Just because he feels that it is unfair, doesn't mean that it is unfair. He needs to man the fuck up and pay back the money, and a big lol @ someone winning 120k (even if he was backed and deep in make-up, which i don't doubt) and not paying back a 5k debt to someone who clearly helped a lot in getting you to where you are today.

If he did this he would have seen $0.00 from the warm-up money.

However, I also semi-agree that he doesn't sound like the worst POS in the world. Yes he is a thief and (assuming your side of the story is true) he owes you 5k which he won't pay so he's a punk. But I can also see why something like this could be forgiven or looked over by others planning to back him. Not that I would do that.

no this is totally wrong. pils is backing him giving him 10s of thousands of dollars, and thats how he's repayed? gettin deeps pov is totally wrong and is that of a pure scumbag.

he ended up winning/chopping the warmup for around 80k.

I sympathize with backers. I'm a backer myself. These are difficult situations to handle and cause endless amounts of stress. I can relate. I'm not the best at handling these situations, but this should have been the rough draft, not the actual post.

I agree that said player is a pos, but there's a right way to say it and a wrong way. The problem with this version is that people may take this as a previous backer being jealous. I'm not, but that is a way that this is going to be interpreted. I've said much worse things about people, but I'd revise those versions quite a bit if I were to post them.

I respect every backer outs players such as this. My advice. Do what you can to get your money back and/or make is life miserable, but it's not worth ruining yourself in the process. I've lost a lot of money playing bad and having to take days off because I was so angry. It's hard and it's tough, but sometimes you just have to write it off in your head. After doing what you can, take a mental note, add the name to the list and hope that you can slowroll them w/ 2 tables left in the WSOP M.E. some day.

I hope he pays you. And I'm with yah, he's scum whether he pays you back or not, but I hope that he does the right thing at this point.
