  1. is there any chance of these accounts getting shut down and the money just being lost. i mean myself and im sure others have small fortunes in these accounts. just been worrying about it lately
    thanks
  2. Yeah, there's always a chance, and I don't have any answers but it's definitely worth thinking about. They're run offshore and not regulated. We can discuss security and the market forces that suggest the sites have a big interest in keeping their sites running and protected, but there's just no way to be sure what crazy thing (hackers, server destruction, government seizure, war) could happen. I prefer to switch out big chunks to Neteller, which offers a little more appearance of stability, or are at least one step closer to a US bank account, which also isn't 100%, but is probably as stable as it gets. But I may be fooling myself too.
  3. Two words Dutch Boyd GG hardwork
  4. What happened with Dutch? I'm out of the loop.
  5. Holla on that.
  6. Probably playing the devil heads up...
  7. He is actually 3rd in line to play the Devil Heads Up behind Andy Beal and Readzie!

    .....sry Readzie, I couldn't resist :-)
  8. Years ago, Dutch started one of the first online poker sites, called PokerSpot. Long story short, it went under, lots of people lost lots of money.
  9. The accounts on stars are backed up by the Bank of Scotland, so I assume those are safe. Don't know about any other site. I think for the most part, money is pretty safe. That said, if something did happen, your only real recourse would be the goodwill of the site. When you add that to the possibility of your account getting hacked, its probably not a good idea to keep more money than you need to on any site.
  10. actually iam flattered. :)
