poker in Bahamas

    Anyone know of any good poker rooms in the Bahamas? I have looked on the websites of Atlantis and Crystal Palace, but neither mentions anything about a poker room. Do these casinos not offer poker?

    You might wanna send an email to pokerstars Support to see if one of their guys/gals has an idea. Their headline WPT event is in The Bahamas every January, so they would know if poker is only played during that time, or if there are other times when you can play poker besides January.

    i just got back from there and heard there is a poker room at crystal palace which is near nasseau

    If you are on a vacation in the bahamas why would you want to be in a pokerroom surrounded by a bunch of guys when you could be at the beach or the pool, where there are hot girls in bikinis?

    There is no poker there except during the big tournaments.

    was there in may and stayed near the crystal palace...only poker they have is a style of texas hold em where the dealer has a hand and you bet your hand versus the dealer. you place an ante, bet pre flop, bet on the flop, turn, and river...or fold at any time. at the showdown, dealers hand is exposed and if you have the best hand compared to dealer, you win the amount you bet total. i was pretty disappointed because i called down to the crystal palace before i went and was told that they had several tables at varying limits, only to find the one version i described above. enjoy your stay!!

    there is a poker room in the bahamas at the crystal palace...its pretty new. Stayed there over spring break and the games were pretty soft. They mostly just ran 1-2 no limit and sometimes 2-5 if we were lucky. Not the best poker room as they only opened at 7 p.m. and closed at 2 a.m. cant play during the day, so some nights u gotta choose between the poker and clubs. hope that helps.

    o, and they only usually ran about 2 tables at a time... before i went i called the poker room and they told me they would have 5-10 NL but u can be sure that they wont have higher than 2-5.

    I thought I read something around the time of last years PCA that said pokerstars/Atlantis had some kind of special permit to run poker during the event, but any other time poker was actually not allowed....

    Crystal Palace has one. I was there in March and they had a 1-2 NL and a 2-5 NL. I sat at the 2-5 with $300 and left with $1600 in 2 hours. There were a couple of tourists from a cruise ship that were hammered and I got my money in preflop with AA twice against the same guy (he had K J and 77). Good memories...
