  7. Its amazing how so many guys make money then blow it. Bankroll management is key. After my biggest win of $106k I pumped most of it into the house and gave my wife a hefty amount. Since that win I havent won anything near as high as that until what I mentioned in the live win last weekend. I now have a $25k bankroll which I will keep for tournaments but will always try and win satellites etc than buy directly in. I steer clear of cash games as it is scary how much people swing. At Bolton there were 3k+ pots flying everywhere in the side action and you could see many young guys trying to mix it up with seasoned cash sharks. (and mainly losing)

Even if I had a $500k bankroll I wouldnt get involved with those cash games - I would rather invest 80% of winnings into property or the family etc.

What bluescouse needs is someone to teach him bankroll management and sensible advise on the ups and downs of life. The reason I play poker and dont gamble much is that if you play patiently and skillfully then odds are you will hit another major win every 6-9 months.

It makes you want to cry when you see ehat happens when greed gets in the way.

  8. This kid is a true maniac. He is also a financial train-wreck. I wouldn't want to end up where this guy clearly seems to be headed ~ rock bottom.... gl little bro. Happy Landings.

  9. I've been reading his blog for the past 3-4 months or so. I think his family has to have some money, I'm not quite sure what this 'isa' he keeps borrowing against is. Maybe it's a C/C or an IRA or something. But even if it was a C/C that thing has a mega limit.
  10. Just read first page only. The best is at the end when he feels the need to apologize for losing 8k in a heads up match.
  11. ISA is a tax free Individual Savings Account, max deposit is 8k pa, so he can't have that much in it.
  12. sick...i blew alot of money last ye but no where near that amount.

  13. that is sad to read and refreshing at the same time..

made me thankful for my measly $900 roll. since i started playing in 04 i have prob lost a good 2-3k before i learned br management. now i dont feel that bad because i know if i keep grinding ill get back to even at least one day...plus i play for fun so no real rush to make a ton of money.

i can't imagine having 20k and losing it much less 500k or whatever he had...greed or pride can tear a person apart. it seems like pride is really holding this kid back.
  14. I've been reading this blog for awhile now and it's just plain sick. It really slows me down and keeps me off of tilt. Also, everytime I think about playing out of my role, it slaps me in the face and puts me back where I belong.
