Going on my 10th cruise coming up in a few days and wondering what kind of hold em they have in the casino. The last few ive been on (post poker boom) have been royal caribbean and all they had was $100 sngs running like twice a fking day....
I hear they use the 10 person pokerpro virtual tables on carnival nowadays and wondering if its cash or sng and wondering what stakes (hopefully high so I can gg the drunk vacationers that have seen poker on espn and decide to play for the first time)? -
SNG and cash games mostly cash usually not many people playing, but they are bad.

on my cruise the poker table was seperate from the casino. it was a 10 person cash game 1/2. that all they had and it was pretty filled the whole time

Went on one in Jan 08, it had a 10 person virtual table. 1/2 Limit Holdem. I am going again in August and I hear this time they have a tournament with 25k gtd but won't specify which boat it's on.. I'm going on their newest ship so hopefully it's on that one. Interested to see if they updated their games besides limit.

I went on a carnival cruise about a year ago. They ran a 2/4 limit game everyday starting around 2. Players are baaaaaaaaaad. Dont slow play anything. They also had a 3/6 limit game run one night when most the table wanted to move up. GL and have fun!

Its a lame ass virtual table and the stakes are 1/2, but people can buy in for a minimum of $20 and that's what they usually do...It was pretty crappy when I went, and plus I was too busy fornicating, getting wasted, blowing cash on bj, throwing up, eating a shitton at the buffet, laying in the sun. It's a cruise. There's a million things better to do on a cruise than play poker.

Do I have to put ITS MY 10TH CRUISE in bolded caps for the blind? They get old after a while I just go with a fam, if I felt like playing NL all day/night on the days at sea I would.

Won 850 in 15 min on the miracle. Got one hand all in pre KK vs 85o for 275 pot

it was like a scheduled tourney everyday or nite, and then they were cash games after. it was 1/2nl on poker pro table. the play was god awful, a few donks at table who had no idea what they were doing. Everyone is a calling station typical soft game though.

Its called poker pro tables. and they spit out crazy bad beats. dont ruin your vaca.

Went on Carnival Glory for 2nd week of my honeymoon. May 16-23. Only poker they had was a 1/2 nlhe virtual table. 10 handed. Not too bad as long as there was a full table. Obv. the game was pretty soft. Mostly vacationers just looking to gamble. I dont suggest doing like i did one night after table emptied out and play HU for an hour. The rake will rape hu. Hope this helps if only a lil. GL
