  1. Hello

I am trying to play almost exclusively 180 mans on stars and im wondering if anyone knows of any particular forum/website which specilises in talking about and/or training in this area? Also im looking for stats on decent players within that category, i can't seem to filter this information through sharkscope without a paid subscription...

    any help appreciated,

    Thanks

  2. hey man.. I've just signed up with p5. However whenever i wanna click on training videos I will be automatically logged out. But when i click on other tabs such as home I'll be logged in again. Thus I can't access the videos at all.

Emailed mods but they are taking forever to reply. Anybody got this problem too?

  4. I have wanted to be able to deposit 625 on full tilt to grind 25nl for the longest time now. 625 is 40 buy ins, which is considered "protected" in fox's br management article. However I have never had the money to do so, i go to school full time and also work. But this weekend i happened to win 1k in blackjack and i am considering starting this up. I am in the process of trying to get rakeback and holdem manager. I also plan to subscribe to cardrunners, even though I believe my game to be fairly strong(for micro stakes). Any thoughts/comments guys? Im really pumped to start doing this, I just want to take it one step at a time and make sure I am doing the right thing, so any comments back would be appreciated.

  5. Starting CR is +EV.
Putting BJ money on the poker game is +EV.
HEM & Rake back are +EV.
If you multi-table, TablleNinja would be +EV.
Find a friend to help you review your HH after the games and discuss how you play and any suggestion for improvements. Having a second knowledgeable person helping you with the reviews, helps get around the self-bias you might have developed on your game tactics/mechanics.

  10. Before Black Friday I was seriously considering getting a coach to help online play, and now that I'm playing more live...can a coach help? Most coaches use Hand Histories or TeamViewer, both of which have been rendered useless recently. So my question is...how can a coach help you live?

a coach will help you get better at poker. The stuff you learn online can be applied live... i mean this is why young online players dominate live too. Im sure you could dig up plenty of hand histories and go over them via teamviewer and skype, then apply what you learn to live as well.

  16. Who is this dude?

I was scouting round the internet looking for stuff to try and get better at my game and came across this site. I'm guessing it's just a piss take, but if he is good and has helped loads of the young guns then why hasn't he been seen on any of the big games?

I don't have a clue and guesing he has helped people like Shaun Deeb and Liv Boeree with their game and has turned them into winners.

    Who is this guy?!

  23. This goes to people who got trained personal.

I'm seriously considering to pay for some personnal training in online multitable tournaments.

-Has anyone regretted his desission to pay for sessions?
-How much did u pay for those? (does it depends on the instructor?)
-Did your game really changed and what about the results?
    -Would you do it again?

    thanks in advance !!!

  24. Yes
I paid on a monthly basis (between $9 to $29/month).
If you have little or no experience you will learn the correct way the play. You will not have to unlearn as many bad habits. This depends on how much experience you start with.
You shouldn't start out being results oriented. You should be more concerned with developing a a solid game plan, understanding "Stack to Pot ratios," betting structures/patterns, small-ball strategy & long ball strategy, when to bluff if ever, etc.

Yes, I would do it sooner rather than later.

I have won a decent amount of money and at least 7 entries to play WSOP events and multiple entries to play other tournaments in the AC casinos and some in Biloxi, Tunica, New Orleans and other casinos in Las Vegas.

  25. Thx for the quick response !!!
I have some basic knowledge I think, and I know I shouldn't be playing results oriented.
(It's a hard thing to do sometimes :)
It's just, I had some succes online and live, but I you look at the volume, It should be more.
First I thought it was running bad and all that s***, but there's more to it.
I don't play optimal in sertain spots I just know it.

I'm looking and try to contact some coaches to start some sessions. We will see from there

    Thx man GL in future

  26. Hey guys just a quick one here.
Lately have found a new love for poker which has been playing omaha rebuys.. only micros not massive fields and still ok money for a first.
I seem to be having heaps more success playing these than i do playing NL holdem which has been good.
I am at a point now where i am wanting to reach out to a coach of some sort and try and step up out of the micros into something a little more profitable .
Any ideas on a good coach that can help me with my omaha game?? or anywhere in general i can get help with this??
    Thanks in advance

  27. Hi guys,
I have been considering subscribing to a training site. Not sure which one at the moment. Maybe P5s, Poker VT, Bluefire or Cardrunners.
I am mainly interested in advancing my NL Holdem MTT game and to a lesser extent, Low to Mid Buy-in MT SnGs.
I would prefer to be able to download videos so I can watch them anytime, offline. Also HD videos would be good.
I have seen a few Cardrunner videos that ppl have put on you tube - but they don't seem to be very good - the ppl are not winning in them. Surely, they are not all like that, though....
Can anyone please offer some unbiased advice on which may be the better site for me.
Also, Is anyone able to confirm that any of the major poker training sites will still be adding fresh content regularly considering that U.S. players are no longer playing online, for the most part?

Apologies if this has already been asked. I did a quick search for such a thread but didn't find one. Cheers.
