  1. is it time for a break/time to quit

i grind fifty cent 1 dollar and make good money at that level. about ten thousand up so far this year and enjoyed the money and overall im happy with my game. i dnt play for a living but the supplementary income helps alot but the game just makes me miserable. i just dnt get excited by the game anymore. i cant rememver the last time i logged on and looked forward to playing. There are no live tourneys where i live so thats not an option and if there is we r talkin about twenty people entering.

sorry to blabber on and i think i knw in myself its time to quit but am just looking for some advice. I learnt the game to make money and feel ive ripped the fun out of it by playin so much.

if you have any advice or been in a similar situation im all ears
  2. not much advice needed..if u dont want to play..dont play...wheres the issue?
  3. It's not even a question of if you should. Taking a break of a couple weeks (no poker at all) will totally clarify things for you. Do it, go enjoy life for two weeks and report back what happens and how you feel about poker at that point.
  4. 10k at .50/1 so far this year? How many tables are you playing and how many bb/100? At least this gives me some hope that if mtts don't work out I can play a lil cash on the side and still make decent money.
  5. this is pretty much what i thought threebanger

i took a few days off this week and for a change played one of then ten dollar knockouts and came first and just felt nothing no excitement or anything and thats what seemed to be the final straw for me. Not a big win by anymeans but first nonthe less and with no excitement when u actually win probly is a big sign for a break

  6. why don't you try switching to MTT's for a while?
  7. i six to eight table like twenty five hours per week. my bb/huno is sick like fifteen i think over a big sample. i turned to cash for more consistant income and it was more profitable then i cud hve imagined. if ur wondering y my typin is all funny ive melted half the keys on my laptop lol woops.

i def do prefere mtts and feel my game is strongest in this area but they bring a whole new level of frustration

  8. Take a 2 week break. book a flight to vegas and play your .50/1 live and crush it/play a few 100-500 buy in tourney's and come back home a few grand in the pocket and a renewed interest in the game.

buy a poker book when you get back for reading and start playing HORSE

    Cheers!

  10. sit down at $5/$10 with $1000 and then i'm sure you will feel a rush whether you win or lose
  11. Dang forget mtts....I really need to move to cash...losing a buy in or something is better than losing 1000s in equity to a donk....grrrr such big prizepools though.
  12. 15BB/100 and youre still not happy? jeez

  13. I wrote this, you should read it. Hope it helps:

  14. lol to be honest crapshoot its probably a bit better then 15/100 but thats what im saying i knw i should be really happy with these results but i feel like i waste so much time playing when i could be doing things with friends family etc.

    Good read jigsaw ty

  16. Move up to 1/2 and cut your playing time in half...sattelite into the majors. The reason you dont feel a rush is prolly because your playing solid poker within your bankroll so thats actually a good thing.
  17. it's starting to control mine too I think i'm gonna kill the next person that says something slightly offensive to me and be like, " bad beat" "river river" over and over and over and over and over and over and over
