  1. Hi

Ive been hearing lots of things about live games in Florida recently, and how people are going crazy since they lifted the buy in cap

Im from the UK, if I was to plan a mini poker vacation, where is best (for poker). Someone mentioned Tampa, but i thought id throw it out there for input from you guys

    Cheers

  4. Well you only have one casino to play at in Tampa, and then there are a few race tracks in the general surrounding area that have poker. South Florida has a multitude of casinos, all with different characteristics(player types, jackpots, ancillary prizes like high hand pay, cracked Aces, etc.). Definitely a better "poker tour" in South Florida(Miami/Fort Lauderdale).
  5. i live in north florida on the pan handle. We got some decent dog tracks that have poker rooms but nothing special.

I live right next to you in Nicevillle, just moved here last year....Ebro is pretty sweet for a dog track
  7. recent trip to Tampa visited hardrock .. poker room was bigger than I thought it would be .. good cash games .. nightly tourny got decent turn out .. I would go back!
  8. I just moved back to fort myers from tampa so I can influence you to go there. There is at least 4 decent rooms to choose from. The hardrock casino and 3 types of horse-dogtracks. They're all within 45 minutes of each other if not closer so that would be my choice for a general city location to stay in. Btw tampa hardrock now lets players Mississippi straddle so the action is getting better there.

The miami-fort lauderdale would be my 2nd choice theres the hollywood hardrock and I think 2-3 other horse-dogtrack type places also. Either city area is a good choice but the hollywood hard rock probably has the best action out of all the rooms in Florida imo. Good luck where ever you choose

South Florida #1, Tampa #2 for poker for sure. And that's not because I live in South Florida. You said it yourself but you missed almost everything down here. You have only Tampa Hardrock for casinos and a few dog tracks with poker in Tampa. In South Florida you have the HardRock which is much better than the Tampa one(not as safe, but easier poker IMO), Seminole Coconut Creek, Calder, The Isle, and i'm probably missing some, all casinos with nice poker rooms, and some tracks with poker rooms.
  10. South Florida. Fort lauderdale. I live here. 5 casinos alll within 30 min of each other.
  11. Bay Yard lots o monies and weak sauce play! thank me later.
  12. don't waste your time and money going to Florida although the cash games are pretty soft your better off just going to Vegas. Florida has shit tournaments for the most part neway.
