For those that are doing poker for at least part of your income..just curious what you usually make on avg per week? Do you cash out weekly? Do you cash out so much per week no matter what or only what is above your "set" roll? Just curious.

Im fairly new to doing it full time but im a grinder and when i set out to do it my goal was to average 100 a day from some cash, some sng's, and some smaller buyin mtts that would give me 3,000 a month and 36 a year. I keep 1,000 in there daily and just cash out to my neteller whenever i get up a few hundred or so. Some nice mtt returns from small investments have got me off to a good start. Obviously as your bankroll grows you can spread around to get bonuses and play higher buyins @ other places for whatever type of game suits your strengths.

I dont use neteller, how do you get the money from them?

100-200/wk avg... not my main source obv
also i only cash out what is above my "set" roll -
I would PM a few of the players you are curious about. They are probably more likely to discuss their hard earnings in a more private setting than in a forum.

If you're doing poker for a living, you shouldn't be completely dependant on your income this week. You should have more than enough saved up so that incase you had a bad run over a decent period of time, you don't have to worry (I believe a years living expenses is what I've seen required of most). If someone is really good enough to be a pro (this includes bankroll, not just skill), then they're making more than they need to live off of, and have plenty of extra money to go around. If someone feels they are good enough and has a sufficient bankroll to move up in stakes, then they'll likely give it a whirl and see how it goes. -
Essentially I do not have as set amount that I withdraw each week or month. I withdraw money as needed. Now I prefer to have quite a bit in savings and checking, so when I feel those accounts are getting low then I cash out. So usually I cash out every 3 months or so then I do series of cashouts from my various accounts.

I have a set roll and a set withdrawl profit goal. I withdrawl everytime I am +$300. If I am below my set roll, I grind and never withdrawl. Remember, your primary goal is to play for income and not building a higher bankroll for a higher limit. Find a limit you are a winner and stick to it. Occasionally, stab at a higher limit if you had a nice streak and profit. Withdrawing funds also keeps me disciplined not to tangled with the higher limits too often. To move up in limits while playing for income, you must profit enough to pay bills and save up for your 40 buy-ins of the next limit. Slow and steady wins the race.
