    god you people are sensitive, he wasnt insulting Annette. Hell he probably has no idea who she is, he was saying anyone can win a tourney.

    Umm, no genius. That's not what he was saying. He was saying that Annette's win is <span>evidence</span> that anyone can win. Please feel free to explain how saying "If she can do it, anyone can do it," isn't insulting. Please. PLEASE.

    Let me help you out here: Remember what everyone said about Moneymaker winning it a few years ago? Would you like Google links to this very site where you fawn boys have said the EXACT same thing about HIM?

    Hellmuth once said on ESPN that if it was all about skill, he'd win every time. I feel kind of the same way about whoever JohnnyBax is. He dominates the limited field events on stars (I speak of the $100 buy-ins and above), yet I can't recall him ever final tabling a Sunday Million.

    Large MTT's are luckfests. I don't care how good you are you have to have luck on your side to win. You have to win repeated coin flips to even hit the final table.

    I don't think Matusow meant her any disrespect, at least not directly. I think Mikey is just being Mikey. He would have said the same thing about any no-name who might have won.

    Annette is riding a very nice wave right now. May the luck of the Irish remain with her. Personally, I get a kick out of watching kids kick butt on old salty pros like Matusow. Nothing is more fun than watching Mikey get lathered up. It's theater people. Get over your fawning and realize what it all is for.

    Stating that "if she can do it anyone can" indicates that he is saying that they got lucky and that skill was not involved which to me would be insulting if I were Annette.

    I agree that there is a great deal of luck in larger tournaments but you still see a lot of well known pro's doing well in them so skill is definately a factor.

    To all you morons who said he was not insulting Annette....um... you're right. He was insulting WOMEN. If you can't see that, you are sexist as well as being a moron. I believe he said "a freaking woman won it." That is insulting to Annette and every other woman on the planet.

    I'm a typical guy and have made my share of sexist comments, but to say this is taking it to another level entirely. It is wrong to say whether it is Mikey being Mikey or Mikey being an asshole. I'll take the latter ftw.

    Do you somehow not realize that that proves our points? People said the same things about Moneymaker because they think Moneymaker sucks at poker after watching him play. Practically all of those people were intentionally insulting Moneymaker.

    From an outsider perspective it IS edidenve. If I had not known who annette was or if I didnt play online there is absolutely no way I could think she had as much experience as she does
