I quit playing poker before the new laws were even announced, and I was thinking about playing again. I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick summary of the laws and what is or isnt allowed or anything that I have to do differently than since the last time I played. Thanks : )

Well, online poker has always been of questionable legality. Many sites won't take your money anymore. So, if you played on Dise, or some other sites, you won't be playing there.
Otherwise, sites like pokerstars, Bodog, and some others everything is pretty much the same as when you left. -
the new law only addressed payment ooptions.
it made no new law regarding the legality of playing online poker, it merely made it illegal for financial insitutions to perform electronic transfers of payments.
some states have laws against online gambling, but not many, and those haven't changed in recent memory.
so the changes are just related to how you get money to a site, and how to get your winnings off.
full tilt poker, pokerstars, UB and some others still accept US players.
You can find lists of sites that accept US players many places on the web.
hope this helps -
Hmmm, I'm a Canadain Donkey so... nothing has changed except me pen and even that rarely.
