Hey everybody,
My name is foshio, I used to be a ranked player on here back when I played a lot, but I only play every once in a while these days. I am currently a student at Emory university in Atlanta, and I am coming here to try to raise money for club sports. Funding is always tight, and I thought I would do what I can to help out.
I am going to be offering lessons for $100/hour, none of which I will keep. I've been a very successful multitable player, but I also play a lot of 10/20 NL cash, HU cash up to 5/10, and consider myself a very good sng player. I have about a 14% roi with an avg. stake over $500 on pokerstars and full tilt. I can ghost, look over hand histories, or answer any questions you might have.
People who know me can attest to my reputation. If you would like to make any donations, that would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in lessons, please pm me or post here and we can set up a time.
Thanks

Before you decide to do this I'd make sure club sports is ok with it. The only reason I say this is that many american Universities are VERY against gambling and have strict policies. Although you would only be coaching it;s still something to consider (guess it depends how much info they want on the donations).

Nice, Foshio with the fabio avatar. One of my fav's to watch. Bad ass player man. Nice job donating to charity.
-
foshio had some very sick results. gl to you in college, what are you studying? what do you wanna do?
-
Josh,
Is this for ultimate frisbee? -
What is club sports? I'd also play in a charity tournament as well.

For those who are not familiar with club sports, at many schools there is a distinction between varsity sports, like soccer, swimming, basketball, which are highly funded for things like hotels, buses to tournaments, and uniforms. Club Sports such as ultimate frisbee (which I play), rugby, or lacrosse are funded somewhat by the schools but the majority of funding comes from the players themselves. Often people are very committed to these teams, practicing 3-4 times a week and going to tournaments on the weekends. At an academic oriented school like Emory, with no football team, there are many more club sports teams than varsity teams.
I might definetley consider running a tournament. And yes, in the end this is simply going to be a private donation. If you have any other questions i would be happy to answer them.
thanks

Not many people who want to get better can afford to pay $100/hour, because they have a very little bankroll. For the people who can afford, most of them probably know what they are doing. I think you are asking too much, even though you are not making anything. I would think $50/hour is reasonable.

i think 100/hour is about the bottom end of what you will find as far as pricing for coaches goes....in other words he is offering a good deal here imo
-
I'll add my 2 cents about foshio being worth the money for anyone
interested.
As far as rates go, $100/hr is the minimum a good private poker
coach goes for. -
Josh is sick, 100/ hour for coaching from him is a bargain imo.
-
kid is a legend. im considering it.... (no need for everyone to post how much i actually need it) :)
-
university sports is hardly a charity

This is a good deal regardless. Foshio is pretty amazing at poker. I'm pretty sure he just got tired of being a loser and sitting at his comp.
