Thanks to this ub update im falling behind in bills that would normally be paid easily cashing my money out to neteller. I have a few grand tied up on UB right now and its been two weeks no withdrawal has went through since. Any of you ub reps that could help me, maybe get in touch with the cashier or someone over there to speed up the process of my withdrawal i would appreciate it greatly.. thanks guys hope you can do something for me.

You know, IMO, if you have to depend on cashing out 2K to pay your bills from a poker site, then you do need help and should get away from poker. Just my opinion. UB is not to blame for you not paying bills. You are to blame for not having a savings account with at least 6 months worth of bills and rent in it.
-
Thats real helpful Tig.
-
at least he has money to cash out to pay his bills tigger. I love when people belittle others to make up for their own problems.
-
I don't have any problems. I'm saying if you have to depend on cashing out each month to pay your bills then you are in trouble. Why no savings account for emergencies? What happens if you have a lot of bad luck? What happens when the servers crash and the site is down for 3 weeks? There are way too many What If's to depend on each month to pay your bills. The money I play with is seperate from the money I pay my bills with each month.
-
I'm just saying give this guy a break, I"m sure he didn't post his thread for you to tell him how to manage his money. He needs help getting his money out from UB, if you can't help him do that, then why reply?
-
Because I am sick and tired of the posts for the past two weeks whining that UB is screwing everyone on their money. And as I said, if you have to depend on cashing out each month then this is a lesson you should learn on what happens when you can't cash out in a timely manner.
-
I cash out each month so I don't use my salary to pay living expenses. I have already maxed my IRA and 401k for 2006. I use poker to pay ahead utility bills such as my cell phone. So YES even though I make a six figure income I still get pissy when I don't get my money. Do I have a problem??
I never use salary money for poker, BUT I sent my mother $300 so she could gamble at a Cali Indian casino. LOL -
Nope because it sounds to me that if you were unable to cash out that you would still have money to cover your expenses for that month. This guy point blank said that he could not pay his bills because he was unable to cash out. Is that you also with your 401K and 6 figure income?
-
I'm sure huntdog appreciates your help tigger.
-
I'm sure he appreciates me as much as I appreciate you altoon. =)
-
Thanks for the help tigger, your a real gentleman and a scholar.... Is it so wrong to have put faith in ub before the update that i dont mind keeping 5 figures in there account knowing that at any givin time i could cash it out through neteller in a matter of a day or two? You are a real jackass and i hope you have the worst run of luck you fucking DONKEY!
-
I understand what u are saying tigger. I keep my real life responsibilites away from poker. If I happen to have good run and can pay some extra bills with poker money, I will. But I dont rely on that.
My bigger concern is why does he keep all his money in his poker acct which doesnt accrue any interest? -
tigger are u joking me? the poor guy comes on here to ask for some help.....and you tell him he has a problem, lol...people amaze me.
-
THANK YOU! FINALLY someone sees what I am talking about. I'm not trying to be mean to the poor guy, but, just from a logical stand point it makes no sense. As my mother and grandmother use to say, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket".
-
That is completely moot, tigger, you gave an unsolicited opinion. The guy addressed this post to the ub reps that frequent this site.
-
Nevertheless people, he is right. Fact is, you should be able to get your money. If a bank tells you that they're having some technical problems and you won't be able to access your money for a week, how would you feel? You can harp on what Tigger says (all true) but that's beside the point....
-
Who else KNEW that this somehow would not be UB's fault? Groupies.
-
Tigger and Huntdog both have valid points. You shouldn't have your entire poker bankroll on a site at one time. There are probably thousands of us with pending withdrawals from UB, but you should be able to withstand losing all the money in your account, if not you're playing too big. At the same time the money in Huntdog's account is HIS MONEY. He probably spent a lot of time building his bankroll and is entitled to withdraw it whenever he wants. If the site crashed for 2 weeks people would return, people won't return if they think that they won't get their money in the end. I bet all the deposits into UB are working just fine.
-
they may be valid (i dont think they are)...but how is that relevant to the origonal post?
-
He may have had a good GD reason fior having that money there, so before anyone jumps to conclusions or judges him they should tyr to help.
Good Luckb Bro -
Tiggerbets give the guy a break. He didnt ask for a life lesson he asked for a UB rep to help him get money out of his account - are you a UB rep? obv not. Unless a poster is out to flame someone or has flamed you personally in the past then you should keep your mouth shut unless you can or are going to atleast attempt to answer the question.. Noone gives a shit about what you think 'he' should do with his money - if you get off by telling people how they should take care of their money maybe you should go work in a bank.. IMO, noone on P5's will find this post useful or amusing - you'll probably just get flamed for it.. hopefully you get SUPER flamed.. gg to your garbage negativity.. hope the poster can find an actual UB rep to help him out.. not just some JACKASS(male donkey) who posts crap that is completely irrelevant to original posts..
-
thanks man tiggers just a donkey

Hey Tigger, must be nice to post to us serfs and lackeys from your gold-encrusted ivory tower. Meanwhile, here in the real world, there are actually poker players who aren't rich, don't have $50,000 sitting around in a savings account, no million dollar home, no Ferrari sitting in the garage, no mountain cabin, no beach house, no yachts, no private Leer jets, etc. Despite lacking all the above, I think I will continue to play poker and if need be, I might pull out a couple hundred from my poker account to pay some bills with. Good luck with your savings account, your ivory tower and your delusions of grandeur, but you can keep your advice and please shove your condescending attitude up ur ***. 2Slick

My withdrawal dropped in my account today after a little over a week, so hopefully you'll get your money soon.
-
Well said pirgcd. I agree that anyone should absolutely be able to withdraw some or all of their money at anytime, and it should be done expediently. But, we must be prepared when it doesnt happen for whatever reason. I cant help with the current problem, but my response was to help in the future so this doesnt happen. Which I think was what tigger was trying to do.
Given the current state of poker and all the allegations of cheating, it seems harder to withdraw money than it once was. Also, Given how easy it is to transfer from Neteller or Firepay etc, why not keep the majority of your money there? Or in your bank account which accrues you interest?
Just some suggestions for the future.

Let's analyze your reponse point by point.
1) $50,000 savings account and ivory tower with all the trimmings. Did I once say that I was that type of person or a person who had that? No I don't think so. In fact, I believe I have not revealed information about myself as that is personal and unlike the other guy, I don't particularly go posting personal things on the net about myself. Hence his post should have been can anyone help him get his money out faster from UB, NOT can some please help him get his money cause he is too broke to pay his bills.
2) Your statement on continuing to play poker. GREAT! I never said you couldn't play poker and I never said the other guy couldn't play poker. I SAID that if he was relying each month on poker to pay his bills that he either (1) should make sure he kept a savings account where he kept some of his winnings so that when something like this did occur it wouldn't hinder him or (2) I implied (for those that can read between the lines) that perhaps he should have a job that paid his bills and that all the winnings on poker were icing on the cake. MY POINT was that shit happens and this is a great example for Murphy's Law.
3) Keep my opinions to my self. Well sir, not calling the kettle black or anything, but if I am to keep my opinions to my self, shouldn't you as well? I mean after all I gave my opinion in the original post and then I also get flamed by other people (including yourself) with opinions as well. But I guess I was naive and all thinking this was a public forum and if you post in a public forum you are going to get people who respond. Responses could be helpful and responses could be bitter flames, but, none the less, it is a public forum where you will get all types of responses.
-Tigger -
Thank you Turk. AT least some people are seeing my point. I never once intended this to be a flame but a suggestion on how to avoid this problem in the near future.
