  1. I'm a low stakes college poker player currently in my 5th year of pharmacy school at University of Connecticut. As we all know Katrina has destroyed much of NO. Xavier School of pharmacy in NO was completely destroyed leaving the students no where to go. UConn has taken on some of the 6 year students that are on rotations to allow them to graduate on time but Xavier would prefer that other students not attend other schools because the classes are given at different times during the year and would create more of a problem. They hope to have the school back up in Jan. to resume classes for the spring semester. My Dean of pharmacy spoke with Xavier's dean and said that if they don't get up and going and start collecting tuition the school is going belly up.

I couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose a semester of school of pharmacy not to mention my house, computer, books....lives. Any way, I am involved in the student government and we are rasing money to send directly to Xavier to try and get them back on their feet. We have raised over 2000 dollars already and hope to reach 10,000 in 2 weeks. If you would like to help out you can e-mail me at:

and i can give you the address to UConn and you can send it directly to the Dean since honesty is a problem these days. Anything at all you can give would be a huge help. I know everyone has probably given already but if you can spare any that would be great. Thanks again
