    does anyoen else think this HAS to be the WORST POKER SHOW on tv?

    its almost like a shorthanded turbo with horrible blinds and chip stacks...

    why do the pros even play it?

    I actually like the show. It is a different kinda of tournament but it is all top pros which is fun to watch. There is lots of strategy within the tournament structure and you can see which pros understand this. Wait till the playoffs starts, that is when all the fun begins.

    If you were a pro why wouldn't you play it? It's huge exposure for limited cost and the potential to make back your money. (My opinion) Every person playing in it isn't doing so for any other reason than for exposure. Without exposure who will by your books and DVD's?

    Granted the structure makes it a crap shoot. The whole format is to not finish 6th or 5th even if it means folding big hands preflop.

    Want to see the biggest joke outside of the annie duke show that was on once. Check out hellmuth on celebrity poker. He has constantly the biggest fake grin on his face everytime he is on camera. Now there is a guy is working the exposure end of things. He is the vanilla ice of poker currently.

    u do make a good point stickney, i forget sometimes taht pros nowadays are playing poker for the exposure lol...

    and as you can see on most poker superstars show, full tilt gets there exposure plenty

    on another note, i am glad high stakes poker is back, this is by FAR my favorite poker show out there...

    Agreed. Helmuth put on the extra cheese for that show. I really miss phil gordon, even though that show isn't the best anyway.

    As far as PS3 goes, I think they have a much better roster for this one, Hellmuth, Mouth, Lindgren, etc. Hellmuth and Matesow is a great combination for entertaining.

    Is he really? God, what a dork . He's top 3 on my list of best players, but as a person, he is the worst.
