Ok, I got back from a cruise to Mexico a couple weeks ago. I had the chance to play on those new PokerPro Tables that Carnival installed into their ships.
The tables have touch screens for each person and a big flat screen on the middle of the table. When you want to see your cards, you put your hand over your cards on the screen and the corners flip up.
I liked the tables. We found out they were waterproof. It might just be a thing Carnival did but, the rake was pretty large. (10% up to $5.) It's not as bad if you factor in that you don't have to tip the dealer which I do everytime I win a pot. Woulda been nice if they spread something higher than 3/6 and 4/8 limit as well. -
Are bets made electronically as well or with real chips? I assume there are no real chips since you mentioned not having to tip the dealer.

No real chips. You have to open and account at the cage, they give you a card that you use when you sit down, which you have to have deposited real money into.
Hollywood Park Casino has a few of them. -
Yeah you bet, fold, etc all from the screen.

I've been on a few of carnival's ships, but none after they added poker to their casinos..
just curious..was limit all they spread or did they have 3/6NL and 4/8 limit? -
Tuff to impress people with "chip tricks" on those tables.
