The buyin was $36+3. It got 4 entrants, the payouts were 1-3: $39, 4th: $27. So as a participant, I could only lose money by registering. This does not seem right, I have emailed pokerstars and await their response.
PokerStars Tournament #254827746, 8-Game

Dear BodogAri,
You finished the tournament in 1st place. A USD 39.00 award has been credited to your Real Money account.
Congratulations!
Thank you for participating. -
That is insane! Look forward to hearing back from support... it should be quick, no?

Lame response.
Hello Alan,
Thank you for your email.
Please note that in these tournaments you are referring to, one player
advances for each $215.00 in the prize pool.
Under "Tournament Info" in the tournament lobby you will note it states
"Remaining funds in the prize pool will be distributed as $39.00 rebates,
and (if necessary) a single prize less than $39.00"
As only 4 players registered in this tournament this is exactly what
happened. Therefore. the first 3 places were given $39.00 and 4th place
received $27.00
As a reference you can take a look at tournament #254827747. You can use the
"Find a tournament" feature located under the "Request" menu. Enter the
Tournament ID and the lobby should pop up!
We hope this information has been useful. Let me know if I can be of further
assistance. Thank you very much for choosing pokerstars. We wish you the
best in our games, and a pleasant playing experience.
Regards,
Andres SA

Classic. That's a flaw in Pstars system, I mean in that case, it should just be cancelled.
-
lol
-
lol. That is so sick. They need to set the minimum amount of players to whatever fills up at least one seat, or guarantee one seat.
-
the saddest part is that one of the best types of satties only got 4 runners to begin with - the one on sunday which used to offer over 100 seats has had huge dropiing numbers in participants - couldnt imagine why many of these satties have lost runners? (sarcasm)
