Has anyone noticed that a large % of players that are playing 5 Card Draw on pokerstars have Kiev as the city that they are from?
I googled it and it is the capital of Ukraine. Would this be suspicious to you? Would you leave if you were playing someone from Kiev heads up and then someone else joined the game that was from there as well?
Something just seems fishy to me about this. Or maybe there is just a lot of 5cd players there.
Thoughts? -
Much more likely explanation: Kiev is the capital city of a country. Therefore, it has a lot of people and businesses. Places like that are good places to put casinos. Those casinos likely offer 5 card draw. Lots of people+casinos that offer 5 card draw=lots of 5 card draw players.

"i googled it and it is the capital of Ukraine"
Priceless ! -

Everyone already knew that Kiev was the capital of the Ukraine? I must be an idiot then. Haha.

yea, 5 card draw is (at least was) the "standard" poker game there. Hold'em (NL/L) and PLO are becoming more popular these days though.
LOL @ donskies!!! nh, gg! -
PM sashtakeyomoney about the favourite games of the ruskies as he is one and I also believe he may be involved in the trafficking of missiles to third world countrys (and gay russian man love)

ok guys the reason for this is that in ukraine they havent heard from pokerstars up to 2 months ago all players from ukraine was playing at 24hpoker and celebpoker thats 2 european sites so after the news came to ukraine they all moved to stars i hade a conversacion with a couple of them kiev guys and to the other question its a easy beatable game 5cd got to know what ya doing if you want to beat it like any other game and ahhh its not fishy they all independed players at different limits and i have been often with 2 or 3 of them at any of my tables and havent noticed any collusion theyplay also heads up eachother so i dont think thats anything to worry about

"5 card draw's a game where you can beat the table if you're good regardless of how many friends are teaming up on you. IMO"
Maybe, Maybe not. I think it depends on the team.
