  1. Anybody think its kinda shady that you need to give your SSN for an E check? I put some money at Bodog using E check the other day and you don't need to give your SSN there. I'm just afraid someone at pokerstars will use my SSN for identity theft. Any insight?
  2. I used echeck back in the day, and they asked for it. I wouldnt be worried, I just think they use it to confirm bankaccounts.

  3. They might use it to whack your credit too if you go douchebag on them.
  4. They use ur SS# to report your monies to the IRS!!!
  5. I think I'll pass on this bonus then. There'll be another one pretty soon anyway for credit cards where you don't have to give up your SSN.

  6. Yeah, pokerstars really wants to turn in all their players to the IRS, that's a smart move.
  7. pokerstars is not trying to game you by asking for your SSN. While it is prudent for you to be careful as to who you give your SSN to, I trully don't believe this is the case. What the SSN is needed for, is when one of the degenerates bounces a check. Along with that, they do have to verify that you are who you say you are. Thus requiring the SSN.

I wouldn't give to much concern to this though.
  8. Did anybody else who used echeck at stars get an email the next day saying they could no longer use their Paytrucard at Stars..........or was this a global email sent to everybody and i just happened to have used echeck the day before?????
No Paytru withdrawals makes me a sad boy 4 sure...
  9. I e-mailed them about this last night. They gave me the response you'd expect.

  11. "I'm just afraid someone at pokerstars will use my SSN for identity theft." = "I have no intent on filing my winnings with my taxes and am afraid PS will send my cashout history to the IRS."
