Decided to put money on Stars again today, been playing FTP mostly.. Anyways, sitting there playing 3 sngs and all the sudden it says my playing privileges have been revoked. I sit there and watch as I just post and fold in 3 sngs for a few minutes. Then all of the sudden I can play again, I go on and fail to cash in all 3.
I emailed pokerstars and asked them for some compensation for them forcing me to miss important hands - they email me back saying I didn't miss a "significant enough" amount of hands.
Cliff notes:
- I played 3 sngs on stars for first time in a year
- They revoke my playing privileges for 5 minutes
- I miss important hands in a TURBO sit n go
- They won't do anything to reimburse me for their wrong
What should I do? I've emailed them 3 times explaining how it is bullsh*t that they just revoke my playing priv. then give back 5 minutes later - but I miss hands in a sng, a TURBO sng where it is crucial that I get to play all hands.
F Pstars. -
can you do cliff notes and then have another paragraph?
-
Tell us why you were given a time out please.
-
You should definately get some sort of compensation. It was completely their mistake and who cares how many hands it was? One of them may have been a vital double up etc.
-
Was given a time out because they thought I had two accounts.
-
6 sentences is not enough for cliff notes....good luck on getting your dough back.
-
EXACTLY - i'm not even remotely worried about the money - it's the principal of it.
What if you paid $10,000 to play in the wsop and they made you sit out for 10 minutes?
One hand or twenty, I still paid them a rake - I paid to play and they revoked my play ? -
how much total $$ was it??
-
hope he aint cryin bout 10 bucks or something lol
-
It doesnt matter if its 10 cents or 1 hand, stars made a mistake and his buyin should be refunded. Something like that is enough to screw up your entire mindset.
-
bigdaddy,
why does the amount have to be significant? I dont care if they were $1.10 sng's he missed hands and that is what this is all about not the dollar amount. -
they were $27 sngs - like i said though, i really don't care about the money. it's the fact that they are running a business and screwed me out of playing hands that i paid to play..
-
why would they provoke your playing privelges for 5 minutes.
-
That there is even a question about whether they should refund your money is unbelievable. That sucks. Hope you get your $ back.
-
when i soberf up in he morning i'm going to try and find this post and send stars an email on your behalf. Honestly if the facts are as you state this is ridic and everyone should be emailing them saying wtf

wow this is really ridiculous on stars' part not to have refunded u by now.
OP if what u said i accurate i'll be glad to send an email on your behalf. And i'm a little suprised stars handles it this way. They are usually good with things like customer service.
Sigh stars make this right -
Though from the way you tell it, it seems that you were wronged, stars will make things right. They always do. Give em a chance (minimum three days or two unsatisfactory responses) before posting. I have complete confidence in them. Every complaint I've ever seen posted has eventually been resolved correctly.

Agree with post below this guy is a tool.
-
A better question, I think, is 'Why write 4 sentences of cliff notes to summarize 5 sentences?".
-
This guy's posted a thread in PD asking what GTFO means and posted TWO threads asking what "pwned" means. Pretty sure stars had a good reason for doing whatever they did or he just has no clue what he's talking about and missed something obvious. His story also changed from "a few minutes" to "5 minutes" to "10 minutes." Going to ignore everything he says from now on.
-
Wow, so now people who arent familiar with online acronyms deserve to be ignored?
Seriously from the time you disconnect do you look at the exact time it happens? No first you try to get your connectin to work, sure you will notice if it has been over an hour but if someone asks how long your connection has been out you will say something like 10-15 minutes, not knowing the exact time. It's the last thing on your mind when you are losing money.
Now if the story is not as the OP says I understand where you are coming from but you are basing your post over not knowing acronyms, everyone had to learn them at one point -
"you are basing your post over not knowing acronyms, everyone had to learn them at one point"
There's a huge difference between not knowing acronyms and not having the brain power to do a Google search for them. There's also a difference between starting one thread asking what "pwned" means and somehow starting TWO threads asking what "pwned" means. He's got some serious mental problems.
Look, he started the second thread a month later for some reason, like he actually forgot the answer in that time and had to ask again, wow --

you got pwned...or do you still not know what that means?
-
you make a valid point...
-
nevermind just sent e-mail to ps support. good luck..
