    Is anyone planning on going to the Turning Stone for the Empire State Championships, August 9 - 22, 2010?

    Thought about playing a few $215 stars qualis to this but a 1.5 hour flight from here to there (plus the absurd cab ride from airport to TS) would cost more than the cash allocated for expenses. Def. not worth it for a buy-in in this range.

    ill prob look into it and see if i can get friends to maybe go with me but the drive is so damn long from NYC, hard to ever convince myself to go there over AC or mohegan sun/foxwoods

    yah i got very excited when i got an email from stars and it said something about this being in THE BIG APPLE, then i kept reading and saw turning stone and was like wtf. not anywhere near the big apple.

    god travel sucks. If i drive it's 12+ hours...if i fly i have no car and have to pay heaps to get to the Hotel.....then stuck there. super oi and going to Borgata Open in September

    i would def play, i love golf and play all the time, but i consider it a good round if i get in the 90s, so i doubt id be up for betting unless its like fun random prop bets but def not str8 up on overall score

    i would love to go but it's a 4-5 hour drive from NYC each way and the biggest issue is that there is NOTHING to do there. do they serve alcohol now? i remember last year, busted the event an hour into it and then literally had nothing to do until the next event.

    I always wanted to go to this event when I was under 21 but now that Im not it seems pretty unappealing. Someone talk me into going?
