  1. I just saw this article here at P5's about the pokerstars VIP program. Within the chart, it shows that 100 FPP's are worth $1.60.

What about in the case where they are used for step 1s? 500 fpp worth of $7.50.....or 100 FPP's equals $1.50.

I know it is only 10 cents per 100 FPP's, but it adds up.

I guess my question is how and where do you get the full $1.60 for 100 FPP's?
  2. Hey there--you get the full $1.60 if using them for the top tier bonuses. I don't think our review should really have that 100 FPP's equals $1.60 simply because it's only their max value. Going to remove that line. Thanks for pointing it out

  3. Looking at it more, each FPP is only worth .016 cents when buying the $4000 for 250k FPP's. (4000/250000= .016)

This is only available to Supernova players. I would think that the numbers on the rakeback % equivalents within the chart would be incorrect for the levels below Supernova since they do not have access to the best top tier bonus. Maybe I am wrong.

The next highest bonus is $1500 for 100k FPP's, which is .015 cents per FPP (also only available to Supernovas). Which is the same as the Step 1 costs.

The lower levels (silverstar to platinum) are getting bonuses anywhere from .010 cents to .013 which is pretty poor IMO.

So I guess using FPP's for step 1 isn't such a bad idea if you aren't a Supernova, and of course can show profit in the sit-n-go formats.

  4. During Cash Credit promotions Cash Credits are available to Silver + and they exchange FPP to cash at a 1.6 cents/FPP rate.

Also yes most other forms of FPP usage is not optimal for Platinum and below. However there are close alternatives like you said the step 1's or 1/4 million satties (However the negative on this is opportunity cost, you are using up time to play 500 FPP Steps to get 1 dollar in added value) (.015-.013) * 500 = 1 dollar. This might not be worth your time if you are playing at midstakes.

What the VIP reviews shows the standard rate at which FPP's are valued. It may not be the rate everyone gets but most agree that if you use the PS VIP system optimally FPP's are worth 1.6 cents each.
  5. Using FPP's to buy tourney tickets gets you nearly max value, ie a sunday mill ticket at 13,500 FPP's is just shy of the $1.60 per 100 FPP rate at 1.593
  6. Supernova conciere service offers an exchange of 31,000 FPP = $500 which is 16.13 cents per fpp fwiw.
