I just sent this to PS, if you feel the same way and would like it changed feel free to cutnpaste or email yourselves...
Hi Lee,
I wanted to email you regarding the Supernova VIP freeroll, after playing a few times now and talking to other players about it. Whilst we all feel the VIP scheme is an excellent idea and 'free money' is always welcome, we are wondering if you would consider changing the structure, perhaps making it even more top heavy than normal events. This is because:
- the current structure encourages players to play tight early and gamble once they get their $100. This turns the mid stages into a total crapshoot.
- furthermore, paying 100 or so players $100 dilutes the top prizes so much that many high limit players feel the event is barely worth taking seriously for the slender chance of willing ~2k after 3-4 hours. Again this detracts.
- finally it seems like a great showcasing opportunity is being missed - if only the final table was paid, and first was $10k or so people would take it much more seriously and you would have a great table to replay as with the $215 events.
Just some thoughts anyway, i hope you will consider them...
