So I recently started backing a few small stake players and started them off with some small stakes. One of them recently binked something for around 5k and is not able to xfer me more than $500 / month. He emailed stars and got this response:
"<span>In order to provide an increase to your transfer limits you will need to</span>
<span>have made a minimum of 7 deposits to your account of which one must have
been within the last three months. You must also have earned 1,000 Lifetime
VPP's before requesting an increase. "</span>
this is absolutely retarded. I don't know what to do now like how do I'm obv going to continue e-mailing support to try to get this fixed but wtf. Anybody know how to get this fixed or something kinda pissed off atm. -
That really sucks if it's true. Not much you can do tho. You could have him cashout and write you a check or meet up with and he can give you the cash. Seems like your only choices unless you want to get 500 a month until you're paid.
-
find an empty headsup cash table=have him dump you your money
-
lol @ 7 deposits, WTF is that about? So I need to be a losing player in order to transfer my monies? Get real stars...

I am going to back my friend on FTP and tried to transfer him 1k the other day. My account is pretty new over there and it got declined. I emailed them and they said I had to wait 90 days til after my first deposit so until May 6.
My friend lives in Vegas and I'm in LA (he is my friend for years, not from online) but I am going to go deposit cash into his bank account and he will deposit on his own. Benefit of that is he will get the $600 deposit bonus
But what you can do is have that person withdraw and mail you a check. That is what I will do down the road if Tilt doesn't allow my friend to transfer money to me. Have him withdraw on his own and either mail me a check or have him go to my bank and deposit into my account
fwiw I asked full tilt in my email what is the most I am allowed to transfer and that question went unanswered in their reply -
Dont do this. Obv.
-
What if they both bought into a 2k hu on stars and he obv lost on purpose? is this still dumping chips?
-
oh whoops. i dont read that things...why? i dont get why they disallow that...id do it anyway. with someone you trust enough to back seems okay. but obv theres some reason for them to not want ppl doing it. anyone give quick explanation? i mean i know why chip dumping is bad with collusion and what not but any other reasons?
-
7 deposits?? you've gotta be kidding me. Hopefully if you guys both email stars multiple times explaining the backer/player situation you guys have going they will be able to increase the transfer limits. If not that's the most retarded thing ive heard in a while. GL getting everything sorted out man.
-
Because it could be used as a method of money laundering, transfers can possibly be used to launder money as well, but this is obviously easier to track and police.

Hence stars having these limits and setting them lower for new/low volume players. -
I had a lot of similar transaction problems with my players when they first created all the rules. I would just explain the situation and ask for a 1 time exemption for now so that he can send. stars is usually pretty reasonable and will grant your request. If they still dont want to you can offer to send them a copy of you and your horses drivers licenses if you do this sometimes they will raise your limits.
-
Guess nobody likes my solution of having him cash out and mail you a check. Haven't heard anything better
-
i dont wanna make myself a target for hacking, so without details, i'll just say i emailed them about this and they upgraded my status to much higher (i've never deposited)
not sure what all that malarkey is about
maybe your horse has something to gain by you thinking he can only give you 500 a month...
i'd tell him to email them again bitching... then the second he responds that he heard back... tell him send you copies of the emails, and if he takes more than like 2 minutes (enough time to doctor them up) i'd start getting suspicious -
When I tried to transfer my friend money on ftp he is the one who told me it was declined. I am sure stars does similar and emails both parties involved informing them the transaction was declined

Stars especially keeps a watchful eye on transactions between players. They like to see a reasonable amount of activity before processing certain amounts of withdrawals and transfers.
If this were on FT I doubt there'd be a single problem. -
are you instabanned if they catch you dumping? how would they prove you did it anyway. just say you suck and played bad
-
Transfers happened between players, then one was denied, and all of a sudden a large amount was lost from one player to another on a HU today.. I don't think this takes a rocket scientist to discover this was chip dumping, especially after he posted it on P5's that he was having problems..

Anyway, its a good idea to know what your transfer limits are of all your Horses (and vice versa backers) before you get into a staking deal.. -
Seems unusual to me...if he's been around long enough to become a winning player I'd expect he'd have better limits. Just for fun I checked my own, and currently they're 1k/24 hrs; 2k/7days; 5k/30days outgoing, and a ridiculous $1million incoming...anyone feel like transferring me a million just to see if it works?
-
This, tell him to do the 7 $10 min deposits over the next week or so then transfer when cleared! Then there will not be a problem again, or atleast not with this horse.
