Hey everyone!
I just got pokertracker and it really is amazing but there is one thing I don't understand and that has to do with the aggression aspects of it. I have read through the guide and I am still having problems. What is the aggression frequency? I mean, I know it is the percentage of agression but what is a high number, a low number, and an average? What would the agg frequency be of a passive player?
Then what is total aggression? and turn aggression? What are some example numbers for these. I just need an idea to understand it. Thanks
Edit: This is probaly also a stupid question but how can you tell how many hands a player had played relative to total hands? Like when they folded pre? All I see is total hands which I'm assuming is counted every time they see two cards. Is there another number that tells me this? -
ive no idea how its worked out but from what ive gathered 0 is basically a calling station, never raisin or anythin, between 1 and 2 is nitty, 2 and 3 is pretty normal, 3 and above is aggro. when ive been running good ive got my aggression factor up to 16!
and to see the number of pots theyve played look at VP$IP number which is the number of times theyve voluntarily put $ into the pot, or look at % of time theyve seen a flop. Also the aggression factor will give you a hint of how many hands theyre gonna play. Also the PFR (Pre-Flop Raise) number will tell you how often they raise.
Hope this helps :) -
If someone could elaborate a little more on the aggression I would appreciate it.
Is this right then? If someone's VP is 33 percent, that means they are actively playing in a hand where they are not the BB 33 percent of the time? In other words, a high amount? I was giving this a test run on .01/.02 NL lol. -
Aggression Factor, or AF, is a ratio (not a percentage) which describes the nature of a player's bets.
The formula for any given street is ( (bets + raises) / calls ) .
