  1. I'm looking for a tournament resource to improve my MTT game (I play 95% cash games right now but would like to expand my horizons so to speak), and thought about signing up over at PokerXFactor.

I watched their sample video though, sheets in 37, lol, and it really gave me an idea of what it takes to win, when, in 37 hands, half of those short handed, you get AA (versus AK 3 handed no less), KK, QQ twice, 99 twice (flopping quads once, and having it hold up in a race the other time), A10 (versus A5), and even when he does play hands like K6 (flops the open ended draw which hits), K3 (flopping 2 pair), and then with 105 to hit a miracle 2 outter (I'd like to have seen him get away from two pair on that board if anything other than the 10 hit).

I know they have great reputation/winnings etc. but if that's the best sample vid they can put up, a SnG where someone put the deck into a transport truck and drove into them at 100mph, it's not doing much to wow me with what it takes to be a great MTT player.

I'll probably sign up anyway, but it's funny they'd choose that video to exhibit their skill.... the one real concern I have is the inability to see how long it takes people to make their decisions, hopefuly they'll be able to incorporate that in the future.
  2. www.thepokerdb.com, unless they been getting hit in the deck for the last few years...

    it that doesn't "wow" u
  3. It's just a sample video, the real videos are completely normal complete with suckouts and bad plays(rarely). I imagine they wanted a video that was short for the demo, obv. they wanted a tourney they won, so of course they will have gotten a few more than average premium hands. You won't be disappointed in pxf if you appreciate great poker insight and strategy.
  4. we picked that video not to show skill, but to show the replayer...and also because it was short...

we hope to be offering premium content which will teach how to flop the way I did in that video, but believe me, it will be more than $24.95 a month,

    sheets

  5. I think he's saying the sample vid shouldn't be one where they get good cards, but rather one that shows good plays, good laydowns, etc...

I haven't seen it myself, but I don't think Goose is saying Bax/Sheets are luckboxes...

  6. I know I know... I just found it funny because I thought the sample video would show hands where you call all the way down with 33 on a Q4J2J board, exibiting brilliant reads or something.

I'll be signing up when I get off of these damn 10p.m.-6a.m. dealing shifts.
