They clearly just called behind on the river because they obv saw my hole cards and knew I wouldn't call a raise, so what's the point.
OK for those with broken sarcasm detectors, it's just a LOL to show you how bad the comp. in these micro sngs is most of the time.

not really. you misplayed the hand a little.
I don't like the raise even though it was from LP. this early in the game, There's nothing it will accomplish other than steal marginal blinds....or maybe give away opponents hand strength, while they're oop. You don't need to worry about that though, because most players at this level are not sophisticated enough to conceal it anyways.
The check on the turn was ok. I MIGHT have bet it, because you were still in the dark a little. You didn't know for sure if he had the Q, though it was likely....and you possibly could have seen if he picked up another 4 on the turn. This is because, if he did, it was a likely RR situation for him, because I would have put you on the Q if I was him and expected a call. Or, you may get a fold. He could have just called on a dry flop thinking you may have been Cbetting, and wanted to see what you did on the turn.
river, i think you played it ok. made a good bet...you had to bet it....or you would have had no chance to win a decent sized pot. But he knew you didn't have the Q, and if he didnt have it himself, it was a easy RR for him.
this is all just my opinion though, take it for what its worth.....everyone plays different. i am def a TAG so take that into acct as well.

I was referring to the lack of a raise on the river from the button sitting there with a surely unbeatable boat.
-
I wouldnt have reraised either, you checked the turn meaning you were are afraid to get your chips in the pot. The point of raising on the river is to get more for my hand or get a stronger hand to fold. He knew there wasnt a stronger hand, no point there. And you checked the turn, if you had a hand worth anything you would be trying to get more chips in the pot. A value bet would be wasted because it is unlikely you would call. Think if u were him, why would you raise on the river? Would your opponents call with your hand or would they fold?
The point of the value bet is to get value from your hand that only happens if people are going to call, else no point.
I hope everryone understands what I'm saying. Im half asleep. -
If the check on the turn indicates I won't call a raise from someone holding the virtual nuts what does my bet on the river indicate?
For any future responses I realize I got myself into what Dan H. calls a "dark tunnel" bluff in this hand, but by the river a bet was the only way to win and with 2 queens on the board and the weak way they were playing over there I thought it was worth a shot. If it's me sitting there with a boat and someone who raised and led out bets 220 to me on the river, I'm minraising at least. I already have the 220, they can't beat my hand (if they have quads good for them) so you have to at least take a shot at some more chips. -
fwiw, I think maybe your river bet indicated-
"by the rivera bet was the only way to win and with 2 queens on the board and theweak way they were playing over there I thought it was worth a shot."
or maybe that you had something like an A-4 ($6 sng, afterall), so in case you do I prob reraise w/ my queens full
I also prob raise riv w/nothing or call w/bluffcatcher because I don't believe u have a Q
and lose w/ my bluffcatcher to your AQ or 44 lol
but then again,, I'm prone to heehaw
