  1. My thinking is that when the turn pairs the 9 I feel like the only hands that I'm beating and getting value from are flush draws.

I'm willing to listen to thoughts about my actions on every street.

  2. I like the bet on the flop but I wouldve bet less like around 300 so you get your info and dont end up w/a huge pot in the end where you commit yourself or your opponent. You have position on the villain so thats where I wouldve bet 600 on the turn. If youre really that scared after all that you can check the river after he checks it to you. It seems to me as if he couldve easily pushed you off this hand at any time with your check/check. So the answer to your question is both...bulid the pot and control it !!
  3. id prob play it the same way....like 50/50 on betting or checking flop but all u got is top pair no kicker so not really a good time to build pot just play it cautiously like u did here i think is the best way to go for this hand
  4. seems fine. lead flop is fine n then just get to showdown cheap, as played if he bets river id probly call
  5. I'm with everyone on the flop and turn.

I valuebet the river for about 675, just because this is a $10+1 and people will call with literally any holding and you beat a whole lot of hands. You may not be a winner in this specific hand but it has to be a winning play.

At a higher buy-in I check behind as well, though.

EDIT: Oh and jamming pre- is probably a solid play as well considering villains' stacks. I mix it in there if I detect the button limper is chronic and is not doing it to be "tricky".

  9. i dont like betting river bc theres very few hands that will call that we have beat. 45 or 46 might hero call but its most likely villain had missed diamonds, or a weak A-X hand that we are losing to A6-A8 and the remote chance he has AT... which would kind of make sense for a c/c and check the 9 turn and chk river to induce bluffs out of us, so I don't think there is too much value in betting esp since stacks are rather shallow as is.

  11. Thanks for all the good responses guys, I know its not the typical hand with large pots that we usually discuss, but it was still interesting.

20 BB's probably is a good shove there. I've always been a bit hesitant about those thin value bets on the river, but that's something that I need to incorporate into my game more.

My opponent had a flush draw, so I held.
