  1. How do you like to play AK, AQs in the big blind? I often find myself with these hands in the big blind and 3-4 limpers. I often check here, to
    A. see the flop and make my hand for free (assuming at least one limper is small PP)
    B. disguise the strength of my hand

The disadvantages to this are allowing my opponents to see the flop cheaply as well, as they might be with suited connectors, pps, or any number of hands which might crack my big aces.
Also with no preflop play I don't get much information, and lose that opportunity to define the hand.

    Any Thoughts?
    Pros/Cons?
  2. shoot.......IMHO checking here with AK is a mistake. I don't agree with yr 2nd point on disguising the strenght of your hand....AK with 4 or 5 limpers just isn't that good of a hand.

lets say you do check and the flop comes A 10 5.....how many chips do you think you think you would get against a player who has A3?...if the player is even average, not that many.

with the above flop, if someone makes a big reraise on you would you get away from the hand? maybe... but you won't feel good about yourself, you'll feel you misplayed the hand.
