Problem I see with Cereus Perfect play promotion.

    So i was looking at the point system for this promotion and it seems so poorly thought out. It awards points by how many people you outlast.
    I may be wrong but i think that will make the non peak hour versions of these tournys almost useless, then add the fact they are scored in 10 game blocks it makes them a bad idea to even play. I can see situations where 40th will be worth more points than a 1st. I hope I just dont get it or am missing something here, please tell me how this is a good point system?

    yea i was thinking the same thing but i didnt want to bring it up so ppl would screw themselves by playing off peak since im thinking of playing it. I think they should have a button when you register for those tourneys where you can opt out if you dont want it to count towards your block of 10.

    They changed the rules halfway through the Trip Tens Promo so im sure these will be subject to change daily without notice as well.....

    1 thing i see different already. They wont use your best 10 finishes inthe month to add ur scores....its your best 10 finishes in a row. Every 10 tournys coumt as 1 block and your highest block is used..

    I noticed the same thing. I guess this means the blocks are 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc.

    That sucks, what if your best 10 was 15-25 or do you think they will account for this?

    Hope that lawyer finds something soon cus ive looked at it 10 times and besides the +EV of the $10 mtts themselves the promo doesnt excite me at all....

    forget the promo bonus- these are so fish filled you'll get so much extra ev from just playing them you should be way ahead.

    and to the guy that asked about 15-25 counting, 99% sure the rules said 1-10, 11-20 etc as another person posted.

    Monthly Leaderboards
    • Each player’s Tournament Leaderboard scoring is based on blocks of 10 consecutive tournaments. The 10-block grouping is recorded in sequence (1 to 10, 11 to 20, 21 to 30, 31 to 40, etc.).
    • Only a player’s best 10-block score will count towards the monthly TLB, and only completed blocks of 10 tourneys will be eligible for the monthly TLB. For example, if a player plays in 63 tournaments, six 10-block groupings have been completed. The block in which a player scored the most TLB points will be the one that qualifies for the monthly TLB prizes.The final 3 tournaments did not complete a 10-block grouping, therefore they do not count towards the monthly TLB.
    • The Perfect 10 Monthly Leaderboard runs from October 1st 00:00 ET to October 31st 23:59 ET.
    • If a tournament starts on October 31st and ends on November 1st, the points will still count towards the Perfect 10 Monthly Leaderboard.

    they do these to make up for their horrible TLB...hopefully ub/ap returns to how their TLB used to be, where a midstakes and lowstakes player actually had a chance to benefit from it, rather than the same 20 guys getting it all every month...

    what you guys think you need to win this? 2000 points? on the first go of it, i'm averaging like 140/tourney...and i havent gotten better then 28th

    thats another thing im curious about, how exactly does the scoring work with late registration? do people who late reg get the points for the people who had been knocked out before they even register? By the way the rules are worded it sounds like a late reg player will get all the points for the people knocked out before they enter.

    yeah, that's easily the biggest problem with this promotion, having late registration...but it's too late now, if you took it away now, the field sizes would be way smaller thus less points from here on out...so if you're gonna bust in the first hour, try to do it in the first 5 minutes lol

    TLB points are only scored for players who cash..I ran into this problem while running leagues after they switched to this +1 crap with late reg.

    You accumulate TLB points according to how you finish in each tournament. The formula is easy, you take the number of players you outlasted in the tournament and then add one. So, if you play in a tournament with 500 players and you finish 10th, you would pick up 491 points.

    Geez...they Don't do anything consistently. All other TLB points are scored for cashes only..figures they would run a promo with a scoring system that is incorrect and will have improper placements

    did UB/AP fix the problem with late registration? it seems they did, my best score dropped 73 points, but yet i moved up 3 spots...so it seems to have the correct scores now on the TLB

    that and now the top scores for the first week are the best so whoever had the best run of 10 during that time is gonna win..you cant even win all 10inarow and get first place yesterday there was like 128 and 150 in 2 of them i saw..wtf not even a chance for best block of 10 now just weekly...even then you have to play the bigger fields to win..doesnt seem to be whos best its just who plays in the bigger one and runs better in those

    Wow CEREUS please never run this promo EVER again!! Or at least change it back to the original Perfect 10 system. This system is str8 retarded! How can I win 2 of these tournaments in the same day and my weekly score not even budge?? With this system u basically have to hope to get lucky in 1 of 3 tourneys during peak hours and all the rest throughout the day are pointless cuz they don't generate enough players to help anybody. Worst system ever. Not to mention everybody stalls and plays tight trying to make more points while eveybody else plays normal.
