Seems Unfair. It is impossible to change your name on stars. They want the other players to know who they are playing against. They sign Isuldur1 to a deal cause of his epic online cash sessions. Understandable, hes a legend. But to say he never played on stars. Is a Joke! Whats his past screen name? They know who he is. Hes playing under a new name and has past Hand histories on the players he is playing against. No way he is a stars newbie. Seems shady! New screen name. Playing for heaps! Im just saying. As guy who has had problems with Stars & my screen name for couple reasons overtime. This bothers me & im not gonna be playing isuldur1 anytime soon. I mean rules are rules & at a time when we are trying hard to make online poker legit. They do a promo like this and break there own rules. Not that there is anything that can be done obv. But to be a titan like stars is. You think they would follow there own rules. I mean right is right! How can this not bother the online world? Are we legit? this is a side show! Does this smell to anyone else?

Its a bigger issue to making online poker legit then this. dont think they dont see million $'s pots isildur played when congress members look at this. Sounds to me like online poker is on its way out in 2-3 years ( Lee Jones also feels this way! ) These side show circus acts dont help our cause. its a shame. And shame on anyone thinking the almighty POKER stars can change the rules for own good. When you yourself counldt play by the rules they present. They are suppose to be the standard!

So ok, Then your point make it OK to break rules? There are exceptions. NO! not to ever be truly legit! the sites must take the lead! this is one example how they just dont give a fuck! Cause if it goes legal? There out for breaking there law in the first place. so its in there best interest to keep it the way it is. Dont think its got more then 2-3 years B4 old Uncle sam comes knocking & changes Everything one way or another.

I don't understand what is even wrong. He has an old screen name that is not in use bcuz he will be Isuldar1 or what ever? This seems very trivial plus if you sign a deal with a site then that does Chang the rules. How do you know he didn't have multiple user acct before? Seems his signing will make things more legit

im sure the ppl hes playing against know him from past and it doesnt bother them at all. theyre not playing the stakes they are by just randomly selecting who they play cause they just want to find a game.

Online poker is already "legit". The US federal government does not own a monopoly on the "giving of legitimacy" to international companies. Last I checked the pokerstars published rules indicated that name change requests would be handled on a case-by-case basis. I don't see how they went against their own rules here. Besides, if you want transparency then making him use his "Isildur" name is the most transparency possible. Personally I hope my government never makes online poker "legit". If they did my profits would drop and most likely customer service would be worse. (Who gives you better CS, "unregulated" online poker sites or "regulated" US telecommunications companies. I'll take my chances with the poker sites any day.)
