I am wondering if it is profitable to call here. I figured I had him beat because he pushed last round in the same position. I put him on a WIDE RANGE. Very wide. What do you guys think?

well u called and you were ahead, so obviously you thought you were ahead of his range(which you are) so u posted this hand because you lost a flip right?
-
Run it through pokerstove. If you're ahead of the range you're assigning, then you made the right play.
I'm calling there if I think the villain is wide. -

Jeezy, if you leave out results next time and just asking about hand ranges, and what to do, I think you will get better responses on your next question, etc.

Edited By: grapsfan Apr 5th, 2011 at 03:38 AMHe's not being rude...he's being honest. I think it's important for everyone to be secure enough in the face of brutal truth. Nobody is going to learn anything if we all sugarcoat responses to someone's mistake, whether that mistake is a specific play in a hand or being results-oriented in judging the quality of a decision. Don't get your feelings hurt; it's nothing personal. In this specific instance, you got your money in good. So it's unclear what your question might be, because it seems pretty obvious.Originally Posted by Jeezy 88

Let's take a step back, and try to answer this the way Tyson is suggesting....
Jeezy, with what SPECIFIC hand range do you think the Villain in this hand would shove 7 BB? 25% of all hands? 50% of all hands? Any Two Cards?
Download PokerStove, put your hand and those ranges into the program, and post back in this thread what you come up with. -
to be fair to the guy, it may not be results orientated, his question wasnt if you know he has kq do you call a4o.
mayb he wasnt sure if a4o was doin well enough against the guys range to make it a call, which is a gd question to ask
i hate to see posts like ak kk qq etc being beat aipf but this isnt quite the same scenario
