i have about 200k hands from pt3 that are in the "processed" folder. if i get hold'em manager, can i upload these 200k hands or are they only compatible with pt3? i think they are just the raw data so it should work... pt3 tilts me so i'm thinking about switching sides.
annnnnd does hold'em manager use PostgreSQL? please say no. -
It's just easier to export the whole database out of PT3 and then import it into Holdem manager. I can't find the thread but do a search or post to HM forums they will link you to the directions.

Oh...to answer your question though...you can just import the processed hand history folder as well.
