  1. The villain has been at the table for 30 hands and has been very active (33/24) amd aggro postflop. Thoughts on this line?

    this...def just bet/call turn

as played, seems fine...T8 is the only realistic hand you're beat by...i guess he could have KT...but i mean, clearly not folding at any point, if that's what you're asking

  4. The turn play is my main question. I checked the turn because I had eliminated almost all draws from his range (too tight of a range as it turned out). Although he was active, I had him marked as a decent player. I still had T8s as a possible but I felt I was way ahead or way behind at that point so I was planning to check/call the turn while thinking the only draw I might be helping was the backdoor flush.

He got there with KcTc. Flawed thinking?

even if you eliminated all draws from his range (which would be incorrect, but even if you did)...then you still should be betting the turn. there's a ton of hands that are gonna give you value, and you def need to be getting it in
  6. Thanks Gags. Appreciate the feedback.

So you 3bet preflop...fine.... cbet the flop....good..... then when you seen a rag on the turn you check?! That doesn't make sense. You now have zero information on where you are on the river. Anyways let's see how this goes.....
Haha exactly my point.....hey you dug your own grave on this hand. You bet the river, so your stuck calling to see what he has. If you didn't like the river you could check call any reasonable bet and maybe fold to a shove.

He didn't dig his own grave, even if he bet the turn the villian isn't going anywhere.. And lol at c/f that river, would be terrible.

Only thing you could do different is to bet turn, only way I would check is with some very specific history with the villian.

    Hand played itself, UL

  9. You started the hand with just under 51 bb.......it's just a bad spot but I agree that betting the turn is better than checking. Check call the river and hate it most of the time but probably don't have to go broke.
  10. I don't see why checking the turn is so bad. Villain's range is so wide given his image and he's surely going to bet the turn a really high % of the time. Isn't it going to be easier to get more chips in on the turn by check/shoving it? Gets more value out of air hands, small/mid pairs etc that he might just fold to another barrel.
  11. Because checking in the turn allows him to check back and put you in a really bad/awkward spot on the river (as you can see)
