  2. A fold is out so there are 3 paths here:
    1. 4-bet/fold - make it about 4K to go
    2. 4-bet/call - make it about 6K to go
    3. flat in position & see a flop.
Of these I don't like the 4-bet/fold at all, just put it out because the stacks allow it. Of the other two it likely comes down to a matter of play-style as I can see good arguments for both lines. I like flatting and seeing a flop. This gives some pot control, we have position, and with this action pre it should be easy to get it in either flop or turn on good flops.

    my 2 cents

  4. LOL - I see you went for a 4-bet/call & he flatted that. No clue about that, the pot is about equal to his stack now. He has 1st action - did he check or shove?
    [edit]
I guess he was 3-betting from the blinds a bit light and your 4-bet at the lower end of the range priced him into a call getting over 2:1 while keeping his stack about equal to the pot. 6K to 6.4K would have priced out a call I think.
  5. checked

So now you have a choice of shove now or check and see the turn.

If you shove I'm thinking he calls with sets, 2 PR, any K, AA and maybe QQ/JJ/A9 - not much in his call range you beat. If you check he shoves the turn a big % of the time.

Given the effective stacks are about equal the the pot and the board being dry I can't see any bet other than a shove being good.

    You check behind?

Why did you bet this? If you bet at all why anything but a shove? Just curious....

    Results?
  9. His M=16 and he 3bets super small oop? Alarm bells should be going off in your head. You have position, just flat and play post flop. Let him check that flop and check behind for pot control. There isn't a flush draw or really a str8 draw to protect against so no need to bet.
  10. he has about 40bbs
    you have him covered

i feel like we can get 40bbs in preflop and be ahead a lot of the time here. so you could reraise here to 6-7k and have to call his shove. but then again a 5 bet shove usually means AA,KK,or AK.

you could flatt and play the hand in position. plus he is giving you set mining odds with his smallish raise so even if u think he has AA or KK calling is not wrong. also, u might be able to outplay him in position.

this is a close call here. folding would be to nitty here even for me. a read could help. if he was 3 betting alot with lesser holdings then this is a no brainer 4 bet. if he has been playing tightly then i think a call is better.

***EDIT*** i only read the preflop
  11. After looking back i played it horrible i shoudla flatted pre....checked the flop...Im not sure why I went against my gut, had a moment i guess...OBV he has AA in that spot why build a pot OOP...Turned out he was a pretty bad player 3x raising pre and folding to a jam with 14bbs later on. thanks guys love when i have a moment like that....
