This was literally my first hand of the tourney so 3K stack with 10/20 blinds. For some reason all of my hand histories got deleted so Ill just post what happened.
Hero (utg + 1) opens to 60
2 callers behind
villain 3bets to 200 from the SB
hero raises to 600
fold,fold, villain shoves
hero???
No reads obviously so would have to go with default play here. I am never folding this but wondering if some of the better MTTers would. My thinking is his range is JJ-AA,AKo,AKs which gives me the right odds to call. Thoughts? -
Yah I'm pretty sure it's going in but not real happy about it (although... would AA KK 5bet shove here?.. maybe seeing as they'll assume you're never folding.... the shove here w AA would also add a bit of deception because it would appear more like AK.

I think its a call.
You've already committed a fifth of your stack.
What did you do? -
I called, he flipped over AKo and spiked a K on the turn, Im never folding there unless villain is ridiculously nitty. I do think JJ would have been quite a tougher decision though.
And I do think AA,KK is shoving here especially this early on, people are going to play more straightforward and in his eyes it had to look like im never folding. -
Unlucky man.
Its the way it goes. -
I'm not folding QQ here in the 50-50... pretty easy jam. JJ would be an easy call of his 3b - no need to 4 bet JJ in this spot.

I had a similar hand from the 50-50... not the same, but close. Don't think I could ever fold QQ in the 50-50 vs a random after seeing the villain show up with ATs, 4 bet shoving 1st level.
