Moved to the table not long ago so I had 0 reads.....what's your play here and why?

    thanks in advance.
  2. Tough spot looks like an easy call but if he had 1010 or JJ had to think he woulda pushed earlier. I still think u gotta call and see his busted flush.
  3. jeez. one thing you might consider doing next time you are in this spot (OR with a caller in position) try checking the river. this could easily induce a bet from a lot of hands that missed draws or even TT or JJ.

  4. i would fold. it looks like the only hand you can beat is a bluff. something like A9 is possible hand also but the hands that he could have that can beat are much greater then the hands he could have that could beat him. if he had 88-JJ i think he would have rasied the flop or turn cause of the flush draw out there. on the other hand you can also make an argument for calling because it is only a third of your stack so if you feel like gambling calling is not a bad play.
  5. I also think that a check on the river, given you particular situation and the fact that you little read on the table. A bet on the river OOP kind of polarizes your hand range to the villian. I would have probably called his river shove given this thinking. GL!

  6. Your betting pattern makes it look as if you have AK/AQ/AJ. I'd have checked the river as well, since you put yourself in a difficult spot betting out. You are easily beaten by trips/full house (any 2, 77, 55 or 99) or -less likely- flush/overpair (AA,KK). The only real hands you beat are other pps. Very unlikely if he held a pp he would have bet out himself.
  7. Pretty easy call IMO. His actions completely indicate a flush draw. Chances are he is not calling your pre-flop raise with a 2 in his hand(maybe A-2 suited), and even if he did, unless he flops full, I would expect a raise at some point to protect against the flush draw which is out (assuming he has trip deuces & not the boat).
The only other hand I can see him having here, were he doesn't raise prior to the river is 7-7, which fits with his flat call pre, and his calls on flop and turn, and then him waking up on the river. I guess he could have 5-5, and decided to peel, and hit a miracle card on you, but seems less likely. But I think if he has 8's thru J's, or K's or A's, he is raising either the flop or the turn, not waiting to the river.

Also, even if you lose this pot, you still have 120BB's. If you win, you have like 13K, and can set really set yourself up to make a nice run.

Couldn't agree more. You have to call this.
