    I think I am going to try for supernova elite this year....I ran some numbers and its def. possible, but I think to ease the suffering from playing all the time, Id like to run some flips($220, dont really want to go higher or lower) so if there is anybody else that is going for it and instead of trying to cram it all at the end of the year, id like to start now, so PM me or find me at the tables. Would like to do set of 10's.

    Also, I think it is worth it to flip a lot in order to get there, but any1 disagree with it and think its stupid to do that? Any opinions appreciated. Thanks

    you probally want to start playing about a week and a half ago. Most made it the last week of dec. Every day counts.

    You can make it playing 1/2 nl, just have to play 9 hours a day, everyday

    Well thats why I would like to start flipping now, its going to be close, and flipping a lot would eliminate the amount of time you would have to play through the year

    400,000 but in the beginning of the year, maybe jan-april/may, I pretty much only played 200's.

    If you are going to flip why not wait until they do the double vpps

    they are going to do that again this year aren't they?

    Flipping has a long term neg roi, why would you want to flip as many times as you could losing the rake on every flip. pokerstars is not giving you back more than they are earning in that tourney. Somebody tell me if I am missing something besides the obvious need to have action flipping and paying a rake.

    it is -ev to flip (less so during 2x fpp, but still -ev), but they are kinda fun

    You are right but the end will result will be supernova elite status. So you take a bunch of -EV from the flips paying rake each time, but gain +EV later from the supernova FPP bonus and what not which hopefully adds up to more than you lost doing the flips. It won't if you do too many...Ideally you would flip as little as possible and play games where you have an actual edge as much as possible.

    I agree that flips are -ev obviously, but like said, they are soooo much fun and i like to gamble. While it is -ev, besides rake it is exactly 50/50 and you can win money on your way to elite....so is anybody thinking like me and on free nights run like 10 of them and stop(i dont like being stuck or other people being stuck to much in flips) Come out degens

    you can do your daily required fpps in 4 hours if you grind sngs. But I like mtts and i hate sngs so much so its not worth it. Theres a chance I will get motivated though so who knows. 60 114 turbs is enough if you played 365 days a year.

    I think it's a bad idea. You're going to lose $10 (rake) per game on average at the $10 level. I don't see it worth it unless it's the end of the year & it's your only way of getting there. I would wait.

    You're absolutely correct. Wanting about $30K in free tournament packages & $100-$200K in VPPs for the following year is just absurd. Who would want that? Jeez you people are stupid.

    If your sarcasm detector isn't rapidly beeping at this time you should take it in to get repaired.
