  1. Was just wondering what kind of internet plan those who grind are on? From what I've seen so far, New Zealand connections are awful, and the usage from poker sites seems to be too much for it to handle. Any answers to this would be really helpful.

  2. Internet in NZ is awful, but telstraclear, once they eventually installed it was really good for me never had a problem aside form the 2month wait to get connected!
  3. I lived out there for 3 months with a few other people... We all used internet cards and they worked just fine... I can't remember exactly which ones we used but we all had 2 each I think... so we had backups...

  4. I think they were telecomnz/telstra fwiw.
  5. our house is on a telecom broadband plan, and we all have both a telecom and a vodafone mobile broadband cards/wireless sticks. All works fine. A days poker is about 150mb, and you get 4 gig/month or something from a wireless card so it can work fine.

Which one was a bit meh? Telecom? Vodafone was best right? Unless you run Vuze with them and get 15k bill, eek.

  7. Thanks for the responses. I am on a Telecom plan as well, and was looking into the cards... pretty expensive for their use no? Math are you sure about the amount of usage for one day of poker? Is that running 4-5 different sites? I have only had a chance to grind handful of times and it has been quite laggy.... Thank you

  8. The vodafone cards are more reliable where we are (Tauranga), but might be different elsewhere.

Telecom land lines are on the whole reliable, but do go down from time to time.

Figures mathclub quoted are pretty accurate, think the cards are like 80 nzd a month.
