  4. I feel ya gank. Same shit happened to me for huge pot on the bubble of the 55r this afternoon....thought i broke my hand when i punched the desk lol

  5. this is obviously disgusting but why is this addressed to ranked players. I mean i think 96 percent of the ppl on this site know that that play is horrendous. and im quite confident it doesnt only happen to ranked players.
  6. Because I am assuming that this happens much more to the top players as people try to "take them out" at all costs, but it would not be the first time I would be wrong, but that is why I asked them.

  7. Welcome to the world of not top 10 players............ Sry bro sick stuff
  8. gank, you may be right that ranking may have something to do with it, but i think it has a lot more to do with the fact that the guy is a flat out donkey, i mean no decent player is gonna limp call an all in with q9 no matter who you are.
  9. As much as I hate to admit it he is right on this one. You benefit from it too but people make plays because of who you are and relatively we are a band of no ones. Hell, I am not even ranked and people want to beat me.
  10. no disrespect gank, but you are angered at q9 o/s calls to knock you out....i will never be ranked, sorry for the reply
  11. "ImAFish4U: my read was pray he has AK"..... wtf is that? pray he has ak and still call with Q9. coz then all in the world is fine. Q9 v ak is cool obv. hahaha actually this guy is the #2 player on the tlb shows what a bunch of hogshit the tlb actually is.

  12. im not ranked, but i see that shit everyday of my life......fuckin micro tournies pwn.

    Im numb from it.

  13. yeah pretty tough beats ganks... btw that was a pretty tough table that you were seated at.

  14. Short Run,

    That sux man, but,

    Long Run,

    Don't you want that call?

    -Jeff

  15. The ideal situation in NL tourneys is to pick up chips with no showdowns, plus unless I have QQ KK or AA, I am probably better off just getting the chips that are already in the flop then running it out 1000 times(long term speak), since my expectation for the hand would probably less then just winning it there.

  16. No, I think he is looking for a low risk confrontation free hand. He just wants the chips already in the middle. There are many worse situations than a race, but I don't think thats what he was looking for.
    2
  17. Gank no offense to you but I could really care less if i knock you, bax, emptyseat or joechicago out of a tourney. After you pushed I had to figure out if I had pot odds. Honestly I do beleive I am pretty much pot committed here I figure at worst I am on the fence on this one. I have to to call 6k to win a 12k plus pot. You have a wide range of hands cause like me you want to win and your not going to win by not takeing risks. If ranked player would of made this call they would be praised.

Oh by the way currently I am in first w/ 120k and 2nd has 65k with 18 left.

I do not consider myself a top internet player and I know I do make mistakes were all here to learn. Maybe this was one of those, maybe your just heated and not looking at the situatuion as a whole.
  18. We had a thread in hand advice and "Is calling the new folding?". It used to be you won tournaments without showdowns. Now people are calling more and possibly are correct in doing so and the odds are doing the work, thereby, creating more variance.

I know for myself I look for more reasons to call then I used to and I can say that even when I was playing with you back in the day you were the guy with the target on his back and I was willing to take a bit of the worst of it to take you out.
  19. Well this is an obvious instance where Gank does not want to get called, even with a playable hand and a coinflip situation, but my comments were pointed toward Gank's remark that ranked players get called with a wider range of hands because the average Joe needs a story for his home game... (Gank, please correct me if I misinterpreted your remarks ). All I am saying here, is this. If these same players are willing to call this raise with mediocre hands, don't you make alot of money by them calling when you have premium hands?

    -Jeff

  20. This is like Dannenman bluffing Lederer out of that one pot. Everyone wants to knock out or bluff the better/best players. Should be making you money in the long run though
  21. I dont have any comment on these specific hands but I do feel like people play back at me alot because I'm ranked or whatever. I also have a semi-reckless image and I think that has alot to do with it. I've just adjusted, keep repopping me with K2o plz....

  22. this is called the whitealroker button limp allin call. standard really. you're stealing so he's gonna look you up
  23. *I did not read the thread, just the orig post*

ewww. yes whom ever this person was he / she does not appear to make sense with this call--to say the least.

(unless, unbeknown to me and KNOWn to your opp is that the ONLY hand you all in with in that situation is 88 and under.)

    and ouch. q &*&^ing 9.

  24. This kind of stuff happens ot me ALL THE TIME. Limping and calling iwth garbage for absolutly on reason. I dont get it, and dont really care either.

  25. Gank,

Ya can't get rid of em lately...seem they r calling more and more...My favorite is when someone bets a 1000/1500 preflop and you raise them 10/12k and they call off all their chips...skout... and to explain their idiotic call of your raise that put them allin as a huge dog they write:

    " I was pot committed" !

Really not that funny at that time,

    Dit

  26. this is the most consistant donkey move i see in tournaments and the biggest reason i keep playing, i love fishys

  27. I got called by exactly the same hand very recently in the late stages of a tournament on Stars. Unless I am dominating him I don't want the call, however I am never that upset when I have my money in as a favourite to win the pot. You can't spend time worrying about your opponent making bad calls, because it is a pointless exercise.
