ok i dont have the exact hand history but i have the numbers.
4.40 rush 135 person sng 27 left average about 10k
blinds are 150/300 folds around to me on the button with 9k and q3cc.
i raise to 725 sb folds and the bb has about 9500 makes it 1725.
now i feel he might be a decent player just based on this raise.
i personally have been 3 betting button raises from the bb almost every single time now.
id think a reasonable player should be doing this but maybe im wrong.
i now raise to 3600 with the intentions of hopefully him folding or me having to call his shove.
he does shove and i call and he has aa
how bad is this? should i fold to his 3 bet and just continue on with 8300 and 27 left or is the 4 bet a decent spot or just total punting of a stack when i dont need to get involved? -
This isn't the 100r just fold seriously why post this.

it looks stronger to make that raise then to jam, to a good player... but its not good practice to go into a hand with a random and assume they're putting you on hand ranges and calculating their fold equity, just jam (or fold obv), it'll get much more folds than your small 3bet
i try and have a read on people before i make a move like that... it took me a while to realize just cause i 3bet 80% of button raises doesnt me everyone does
hand isnt really worth posting other than to talk about you 4betting air. I'm not talking shit, i used to post undercover check out how rad i am hands all the time... just try and not run into AA next time -
If you're gonna call his 5bet shove and you wanna 4bet why not go allin

If your going to get cute in a situation and reraise a random hoping they'll fold (and your calling if they shove) then you might as well shove. At least your making an unexploitable move here (as termed by grapsfan in one of his article (though, he may have seen it used elsewhere...whatever, you get the picture). He will be forced to play his hand, with your raise, maybe he's doing something similar and thinking you'll fold if he raises.
That being said, if your in a game without reads where you have been exploiting late position raises all game, and this is the one time you run into resistence, why not make a note and then go on? If you see him again, and the same thing happens, then you can play back. It isn't like Q3suited is a marginal hand, your not going to get significantly worse than this to gamble with.
I think you broke a cardinal low stakes poker rule, you assumed you were playing agianst a quality opponent. You saw a raise, and instantly thought that you would do that, so he's probably doing it. That just isn't the case. You are a thinking player at this level, most aren't.
To use an ocean metaphore that poker players seem to love. You're a shark at this level, devouring the fish. All of a sudden, you see a brightly colored fish that might be poisonous, but might just have the coloring (a bluff, in a sense). What you decided to do was call the fishes bluff and ate him, injuring yourself. What you forgot is that there was 20 other fish left that aren't pretending to be poisonous, why not attack them, while you scout this one out?
On a side note, I didn't know they had rush poker sng's as well. 135 man sng's, I wonder how fast they fill up? I may start playing these.
