1. How many SNG's do you play in a session?
2. How do you organize them on the screen? I've been stacking them, but I feel disorganized when I have a few SNG's in the later stages while others are starting or are in the mid stages of the tournament.
3. If you're playing different types/stakes of SNG's, is there a good method to knowing how many of each you should be playing? Should one first place finish in anything mean profit for the session?
4. Do you continuously load up additional games as you get knocked out? Does this help? Why/Not?
5. Are there any free ways to track your progress other than a custom spreadsheet? (Which I don't mind doing...but I'd like to know where I'm at with finish positions and overall stats. If someone wouldn't mind searching me on Sharkscope, it would be a big help. Please PM)
I started playing again recently...beginning with 1.10 45mans's and have since moved on to the 3.25's and 2.20 180man's per Jennifear's bankroll minimum article. (shit rawks.) I've been doing pretty well, but I'd like to start digging deeper by discussing helpful ideas among other grinders like myself. Shoot me a PM if you'd like to voice over skype or chat on AIM.
Also, please offer any additional advice that you may have. -
1. 6-8
2. I try to get as least overlap as possible on a 22 inch monitor
3. Not sure because i do the same stakes and know if im playing 6 18mans 1 win is basically a break even
4. I play in sets so i can focus more during the end game when its down to 3-4 or however many you can hopefully still be in
5. Unblock your sharkscope and i can help u with finding ur stats -

It all depends. i usually 15 table untill i need a break which is usually after about 3 hours. In a decent session ill put in ~100. I play 18s and 45s.

Cascade. I tried stacking when i was 25 tabling and it didnt work out too well. I can 25 table if i cascade but i prefer to keep it around 15.

Im not sure i understand the question. I just load up a bunch and play untill im tired and losing focus.

yes. i keep 15 running constantly untill im ready to end my session. It just helps me to keep the flow of the sngs steady and i like to always be in different stages of a sng.

volume is the biggest thing with these. i only play turbos because i like to get in as many as possible. you have to know your shoving/calling ranges pretty good and learn to abuse the bubbles when you have the right stack for it. In the turbo 180s its good to see a lot of flops early because you really want to build a stack as quick as possible to withstand the times where you get sucked out on/lose flips and to help out when the tourney becomes almost a complete crapshoot. -
Thanks for your response:
the account "BuckLoX" was shut down by stars, since I had an original account named "Frnak" from high school. They're allowing me to play on Frnak since it has the most history. If you could let me know what my finish positions look like in the 1.10 45mans, 2.20 180's and 3.25 45's as well as total Buy-in/Return, that would be phenominal. -
I play 45 mans on tilt...
1- I load up 16-25 in a session
2- I have a 30 inch monitor and can fit them with no overlap I alos keep them in order so that the ones at the bottom of my screen are further into the tourney than the ones at the top..
3- i always play the same stakes in my sessions... altho next month considering mixing $11 and $26
4- I load continuously til i have the ftp max of 16 tables, once i get there i play til im down to 5 tables, then start loading again. this is why i play 16-25 a session, it takes about an hour to load up 16 of these, by the time i get the first 16 ive lost some..
5- i use sharkscope and my own spreadsheet...
gl.
*edit.. agree with above... volume is key... -
1. depends on which sngs, in 180 turbos, usually 25+ in a session but if im playing 45s, anywhere from 30 to i dunno 100? whenever i get sick of it
2. i use placemint and run 5 across the top or 5 on the bottom, with the last one stacking all the rest
3. never really mix them amount of people wise, buyin levels wont change much on gameplay unless u switch between like low and medium. play as many as possible, u make money over the long run, so more games = more money
4. keep loading til i hit 25-30 and feel like its enough, then slow down a little since i start getting deep in a few of them, then speed up again and repeat
5. just get sharkscope, its cheap easy and the advanced search is extremely useful
bankroll management is key in sng play, only other advice would be to play as much as u can and practice more and more tables at a time, since sngs is about volume, u need to play more tables for more hours. -
As you add more tables, how much can you expect your overall roi to drop. Mine is at 20% now but I am sure it would drop, not that a few percentages would matter if I played 4 at a time. At the stakes I am playing now and with my current roi, that only translates into about 12 dollars a day if I play $10/day.

I don't do this or know why you would.

Normally I don't. If I'm going to put in a long session I'll usually load 8-10 and then load another 8-10 every 40 minutes (regular speed 9-mans). If I'm just playing one set I'll usually play 12.

If you're putting in big volume on a site besides stars it's a good investment. $30 for 500 searches per day.
