Me 3.69m in chips
Him 8.24m in chips
1st 6700
2nd 3970
am i ok taking another 800 from him - 5900 to 4700?
EDIT - thanks all. This was the $5 6PM rebuy on stars $35k guaranteed. Hadn't had much success at rebuys, and decided to do a 1 rebuy 1 add on (i'm a low stakes donk). Almost went out 9th. Immediately after moving to FT, got QQ UTG, raised 4x BB, slightly smaller stack that I had played with moved all in and I called, KK - left me with 3.5x BB. Got AK next hand and tripled up - was a fun run after that, including back to back AA with all in in front of me about 20 hands later. -
Sounds good.

Thanks Sick - I took it.
We had a deal with 4 left and I had 50% of the chips, but then someone backed out last minute - cost me $700. Was getting $5500 while the rest (almost even in chips) got $3100, but someone looked at the dashboard results of everyone else and thought he was giving up too equity. He was right - he got the top chop.
But at least I got the dashboard win. -
Cool, congrats.

Well, if you were both equal players, you'd be worth about $844.40 more, based on your chip stack. I'm assuming you felt he was a bit better though, given some of what you said. In addition, the money sounds like it was important to you. So for these reasons, chop was probably alright, but if you thought you were the better player, you lost a little equity.
Equity is pretty easy to calculate with only 2 players left. Calculate what % of the chips you have, and how much the payout difference is between 1st and 2nd, then multiply the two, and that will be your equity if you both are equally capable hu players.
Congrats on the score -
Nice win spanky, congrats!!
