  1. I swapped small percentages with a few players in the $1k on titan. I made the $ (barely)... none of them did.

Buy in was $1,000 + $100, my payout was $1500 for a profit of $400.

    If I swapped 5% with someone, do I pay 5% of $1,100, 1500, or 400?

Any quick opinions from those with experience with this are much appreciated!
  2. total payout
  3. 5% of 1500
  4. Generally it would be accepted as 5% of the total payout, unless stated previously.

My buddy and I do this live alot, but we will put a save on the buyin by saying we will split 50% of any winning above the buyin with each other or something like that.

  5. quick note:

you should have these things figured out before the tourney starts, and it makes arrangements like these go much smoother

  6. when i swap with people its usually 5% of the 400.
  7. PJ, generally its a % of total profits so

    1100 buyin, 1500 payout u made 400

take 5% of 400, which would be a whopping 20 dollars.

  8. I have an agreement with a friend. When ever we are in the same tourney , the other has 10% of profit. This is the 8th year of this agreement and couldnt be happier.
  9. lol... this isn't working! Opinion split down the middle so far.

I had 9% total out total so it's I either owe $36 or $135 whether it's on $400 or $1500. Not that big a deal, but it is a big difference.

  10. Most players that I know do a percentage of the amount won, not the profit, unless they both cashed, and then it's a percent of the increase in prize moola.

By the way, I usually don't sweat the moola if it totals less than $50 smackers.

    Chris.
