Ok two questions, is my call here bad? Im like 99% it is but just wanna make sure, i was kind of tilty wen i made it!

Second, do people have a general rule for the lowest amount of blinds your let youself get down to before you call off?

    Ty for any feedback
  2. standard, i dont fold in this situation
  3. It's mainly an ICM question- will your equity improve enough to justify calling versus the villian's range (close to ATC at this point of the game).

I'm sure someone will run the numbers for you, but almost sure you're correct in calling as 7 of 7.

My suggestion for improving DON play would be to read Jennifear's earlier article on DONs and mess around with the Nash ICM tool.

  4. Im getting it in here every time with that chip stack compared to the field and the blinds. Normally, AQ plays well against his range and if you win this hand you are in pretty good shape w 2260 compared to folding and hoping for a better spot in the next 4 hands, and even if you do double up your still in a fight 7 handed. His min raise probabily says your crushed, but even if he has AA I like shoving instead of min raising.
  5. This spot is so standard. You have to get it in here everytime..
  6. It's a call. I would do the math but I know for sure it is.

How you can do this on your own:

    Step 1 - using this:

    ICM Calculator: 10 places

    Calculate:

X = your equity if you fold.
Y = your equity if you call and win.
Z = your equity if you call and lose (in this case, $0.00).

    Step 2:

Calculate how often you have to win the hand in order to make a proper call using this easy equation:

    (X-Z)/(Y-Z) = ___%

    Step 3:

    Using this tool:

    ProPokerTools Hold'em Oracle

enter the equity you get from step 2 in the bottom box. Then feel free to try different ranges out for the shover to see which shove ranges you could call against.

    Hope that helps!

Looks like you are WAY good per nash.
  8. jennifear is the truth.
  9. Saukendar -

The Nash Equilibrium you posted was not good for this situation. Here's the Nash for this spot:

When Nashing for a Double or Nothing event, be sure to change the structure from .5/.3/.2 to 1/1/1/1/1

By the way Saukendar I'm a big fan of your posts in general. You are one of the most helpful posters on this forum. If good information per post was a stat you would be in the top 1% here, easily.

Note for the OP - I wouldn't call as wide as the Nash Equilibrium that I posted, because I would expect that the raiser would be much tighter, but I'd still call with AQo.
  10. It has been awhile since I have posted regarding the lolability of using ICM in various situations.

    This one is especially funny.

ICM is actually *somewhat* in line with cEV here, and for good reason
