  1. I've decided to just randomly drive down to Tunica this weekend. Never been before. Was wondering what hotels are good to stay at and which are available often at short notice. Any last minute trip suggestions from you chumps that have Tunica experience?
  2. Goldstrike and Horseshoe both have poker room rates $25 weekday $35 weekends but you have to book through poker room goldstrike usually has room as they have 1200 also
  3. You can also book a poker room at the Grand for 35 a night and they are usually easier to get. If you are going to play NL, stick to the Grand, The games are much softer there than at the Horsehoe or Gold Strike. If you are looking for 20-40, go to the Horseshoe.
  4. 35 a night for the Grand? On the site the listed price is something crazy like 189 for friday, 289 for saturday. I guess I can assume you're speaking of a poker rate which is something I've never done but still, are you positive about those prices? Also yeah I'll be playing 1-2 or 2-5 nl.

  5. they're correct. Gold Strike is $25. I've stayed at both many many times.

  6. I live in Cincinnati. If you wait until next weekend I'll make the trip with you. Been wanting to go down there. (I have exams next week.)

PM me if interested. If not, good luck.
  7. mr gobbles - yea he is talking about the poker rate.

    heres some numbers:
    662 357 1136 - goldstrike tunica poker room
    800 946 4946 - grand casino tunica
  8. You need to remeber that the Grand has 4-5 hotels on same prop so while you can get a poker room rate there u can also be like a mile from the casino Goldstrike Horeshoe and Sheraton are all in a row togehter so u get more variety [the shearton doesnt have poker] but of course the other 2 do and the shoe is same company that grand is so total rewards matter
  9. How much poker do you have to play to qualify for these room rates? Is it feasible to do playing 1-2 NL?
  10. Yes u can do it with 1-2 they were making 5 hours of play a day must be live play tourneys didnt count they also were sometimes running where if u play 10-20 limit they will pay for ur room i dont know if they are still doing that
