It was brought to my attention last night that someone is playing on stars using my other name "Reactrix". While I don't have any right to have him change it, I would prefer that he not continue using the name going forward. Has this happened to anyone else, and what did you do about it?
Honestly, I don't mind the free business promotion (Reactrix is the name of my Company), but certainly don't want this guy causing any slander. Fortunately he seems to play very low stakes ($1 - $3 buyins and freeroll tourneys).
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
PS. To make matters worse, the guy has a very ugly mug shot of himself as his avatar. lol
Thanks,
The REAL Reactrix -
Unfortunately, you may be out of luck. Even if he was willing to switch to another name, I don't think pokerstars would allow it. They seem to be rather strict when it comes to name changes. Maybe if you both sent an email to Stars, they would make an exception.
I know that player numbers in professional sports have been traded before. I recall Portis buying his # when he went to Washington. Maybe if you offered him a couple of bucks, he would do it. -
Kinda unfair request
U had a chance to take the name and you did not. This person seems to have had it at least as far back as mid 2005.
So unless he is trying to scam peeps using your name--I would just forget it.
